WOOCH RFID Locks for Cabinets Hidden DIY Lock - Electronic Cabinet Lock, RFID Card/Tag/Wristband Entry

Update: When shopping on Amazon, we're often dealt with skepticism and legitimacy of various sellers, however, Alan from WOOCH will certainly leave you well taken care of. With my recent experience with Alan, he not only refunded my money despite my going over the allowed time for reimbursement but also insist I keep the item. I made no such request but accepted his offer. As stated in my previous review below, the item worked flawlessly but did not work with my dresser due to its design. I'm extremely satisfied with the customer service that Alan provided and will be a returning customer. Thank you, AlanThe RFID lock package came with a missing screw but everything else came undamaged. The installation was simple enough to install despite the lack of instructions provided. A paper manual with a list of items enclosed in the package along with a customer tip on installation and prior to installation are what is entailed on the one paper. I used the manual for reference but installation is all done with common sense. The end result, I was disappointed as it was not compatible with my drawer. The device worked as described as well as all the provided RFIDs but the design of the lock and placement made it impossible to install onto my furniture. Tip: if you have a stud planted in front of the dresser door from the inside of the structure then this lock may not work because it may cause the prong (the lock) to stick out, therefore, causing the drawer to not close all the way or lock properly. My dresser door could not sit close because of the wooden stud and the length of the prong. I'll be keeping the device to use with some other furniture since I've gone past the return/refund date. All in all, disappointed but hopeful.

I bought this to use as a hidden lock on a cabinet I was making. It would be mounted on a wall with no other access other than the panel door it would be holding closed. After reading the instructions I realized that "IF" the batteries should die while it was closed, there was no way what so ever to open the panel without tearing it off its hinges. It would stay locked. What a design flaw! After reading other reviews, (which I should have read before buying) it's my fault for buying this.The instructions say the lock is supposed to start beeping when the batteries are low notifying you to replace them but there's no way I would trust the batteries to last long enough for me to notice. I ran a test with this lock uninstalled with low batteries in it and it did alert me to that fact but it did not last the 50 opens it said it would prior to completely locking you out. Maybe ten times I opened and closed it before it locked up.Otherwise the product is solid and works as described. I tested on the cabinet without actually installing it and it would release the lock through 3/4 inch of solid hardwood with the RFID card, but not the key fob.I would have really like to have included this in my project but instead went with some round neodymium magnets mounted into the base frame and cabinet door that hold it solidly closed.

I will give this product a full five stars if I knew for sure that it’s not going to lock me out when the batteries die. Some of these types of locks comes with a feature that opens automatically if the batteries die. Can somebody please tell me if this is the case for this lock. I’ve tested it and it seems like this feature is not available but I have noticed that if the batteries are not installed in the lock the latch won’t catch but it just doesn’t seem consistent.

After buying several types of locks, I was impressed with this one. There were instructions included and a good description of how to reset/program the RFID. We repeated it until we understood exactly what to do, and it worked well.I would like to find similar locking systems with various mounting designs, for other applications. It was a little difficult to install, though it was more where we wanted it installed, in a desk drawer that didn’t line up exactly.The sensor is better than I expected, it works through ¾” wood. The lock release action is surprising strong, much better than other devices I’ve purchased. And the price was low for the number of RFID devices (2 tags/2 cards) supplied.

I'm not super handy, so the installation on these wasn't great. That is, I'm not competent enough to do a great job. But, with a lot of adjustments to both the lock position, height, and door position, it's in. And it works great! If you have something you want locked, but don't want an obvious keyhole screaming "hey I'm locked check me out" then I recommend this. Going on a year with no battery change. Haven't locked myself out yet.

This lock is perfect. Installation was a bit of a challenge because the upper part of the file cabinet was hollow and I had to figure out some sort of brace/support for the locking mechanism. Once I figured it out, it was simple enough. Took time to line stuff up, etc. But overall, after using it for the past 3 weeks, I really love the ease and invisibility of the lock. I just place the key fob onto the drawer near the lock an the little click lets me know the drawer is unlocked.

I wasn’t sure if the RFID Lock would work through a wood file cabinet. IT DID! This is a great product for the price. It worked without a hitch. Quality is very good for the price. The negative was that the instructions were not real clear. It wasn’t hard to figure out though. The only other issue was that the latch screws were too small to hold in this cabinet. I used a little larger screw …worked like a charm. I would buy this product again. Easy install, I am glad I programmed the card and chips before I installed.

It was easy to install. And it’s not a high security lock. But I use it on one of my cabinets to keep my grandkids out so they cannot get in to my prescription medicine . It gives me peace of mind and it protect my grandkids .
