Q: i wanted to know if i could use theses with an mp3 player or if they have a cord to plugg into an mp3?

Mine came with an audio jack and an audio input cord to connect to headphone jack on phone or mp3 etc which works (sometime the item is changed by a seller on the same web link on Amazon)

Q: Got a pair of Howard Leight's R-03318 earmuffs and they wouldn't expand enough.. So would these comfortably fit a male adult's large head with a cap?

Well, I have a pair............and a big squash. They seem to fit me ok, and I have a problem with some ball caps being too small.

No, the head band won't change position.
