Worth it!
Such a great CD- very helpful- Dr. Paul Lam takes his time to explain and teach every move. His voice is so calming, and he make it very easy to learn the movements of Tai Chi.- he doesn't push you and takes his time. The health benefits of learning the art of Tai Chi is an added plus-plus and totally worth it.

Wonderful introduction to Tai Chi
This DVD is ideal for the person who has seen Tai Chi (Taiji) and been intrigued by the beautiful movements or has heard about the health benefits of Tai Chi but feels, “I couldn’t possibly do that.” This very approachable DVD presents the concepts underlying Tai Chi in a simple, clear way. Anyone – a senior or a millennial - clumsy or coordinated – can use this to start their Tai Chi journey.Terminology is explained simply, and the Tai Chi movements are carefully explained and modelled. Each lesson presents a small movement (also known as a “form”). Each lesson builds on the previous ones. In each lesson, there is the opportunity to practice with Dr. Lam – both front on and back on. Since each lesson brings in some additional movement, the player is encouraged to make a little more effort which helps to build confidence. The final lessons present the Tai Chi Principles and how they underpin the practice of Tai Chi. This DVD opens the world of Tai Chi to the novice.

Beginners video
I have several Dr. Lam videos so I know what he does and his style. This was very basic and not worth getting if you have any of the others. If you are a beginner this is a good one to start with.

Not For Very Active Seniors
This program would be good for true beginners who are seniors and do not exercise at all. I was interested in learning a new form of exercise that would match my recent interest in meditation. The instructor is very thorough, but also it was way too slow for me. I have always worked out, and I became impatient with how slow the instruction was.

Great no impact exercises.
At my age I needed an exercise routine that was no-impact on my joints. Dr. Lam's video(s) are a great way to stretch and exercise all muscle areas. I'm working on the forms and my daughter tells me I'm as graceful as a giraffe on roller skates, but I'm getting there.

Not recommended
Dislike. Got it for my aging parents and they said it was boring and not helpful

Tai Chi for Life
These lessons are great. Dr. Paul does a fantastic job instructing the movements of Tai Chi and also explaining just a little bit about Tai Chi.The hardest part is to center yourself and slow down.
