How often do you have to replace the battery?

Well To tell the truth I have a few spares near my Festool Bluey Remote, but have yet to replace the original battery, and have been using mine pretty heavily for more than a year now if I am not mistaken. In any case the batteries are standard flying saucer types (dunno the actual name and I’m not at home so I can’t check for ya) but they shouldn’t cost more than a few bucks I gather. They’re the ones used today with many remote control devices I believe. Anyhow sorry I couldn’t answer yer question directly but hope that this helped somehow in shedding some light on the issue! If you mean the dust extraction system, then yes it works brilliantly with mine. Not cheap But very convenient.

Hi there ! it takes a standard remote control type cell ... dunno the exact name but when you get the Bluey you’ll see what type... You can get em at any hardware store I’m sure and replace it once it runs out. In any case it doesn’t charge, but just FYI ... i have two that I have been using on a daily basis for more than a year now, and have not yet needed to replace either one. Get it if you can, it’s exactly one of those things that you wonder how you did without before you had it. Usual ,simply unbeatable ,Festool ingenuity and quality! I have one of these and was wondering if I got another switch would it work of the two, mounted on different tools with split hose ?
