Disney Pirates of the Caribbean(The Secret Files of the East India Trading Company Hardcover – August 21, 2007

I bought this used, it's in good condition! Arrived quickly.

This book was "written" after the events that took place in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End from the perspective of the surviving members of the East India Trading Company. It has dossiers on Captain Jack Sparrow, the young Jack Sparrow (from the book series), Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, etc. It is like a pop-up book in a way as there are letters you can open, a set of pirate flags (from the Pirate Lords), a replica of one of the cursed Aztec gold pieces (not really a coin as it is more like thick cardboard), etc. If you are a fan of the films, you will NOT be disappointed!

This book is a wonderful variation on a pop-up book. It will entertain young (and young at heart) people. Kids at that "facinated with all things pirates" age will love it. The material in the book adds a nice dimension to the content presented in the movies.

Got this book because I had a copy as a kid and the nostalgia is palpable with this, for sure. The book IS made for kids of a young age, maybe 4-10 years old or so, but I can find it enjoyable as a 17 year old. Older fans might find the book uninteresting, so be prepared. You probably won’t learn much new information from this and it probably won’t appeal to you as much, but for kids and new fan of the movies all these years later, a copy of this book will still blow their minds I’m sure. Hey it for your kids and enjoy looking at it with them, I’m sure it’ll be a fun experience.

My son loves this book. There are little compartments within the book filled with all the pirate treasures.

Very nicely done. Lots of little flaps and whatnot with surprises hidden inside or beneath.

I was very pleased with the book and the person I gave it to loved the book. He is a big Pirate of the Caribbean fan.
