I got the larger size and they are made in China...I am assuming these are made in China as well. Hope this helps!

Would these be good for deadening the sound for a homemade sound booth?

Actually in some decibel sound tests blankets and towels work better than acoustic foam. Look on YouTube for home made bass traps and you might find the one I saw. I’m actually looking at these for the same reason.

Where are these made?

Can't recall where they are made but they were pretty decent for moving our antiques. Not too thick but provided sufficient cushion.

I'm looking for decent water resistance, enough to dry quickly. Is the internal padding also polyester, or will it absorb water?

i have never gotten them wet but they seem like they would absorb water
