The plate that mates to the magnet must be installed in exactly the right place. I installed the magnetic part with the plate on the magnet. Then I put the point of a marker pen through the top hole (taped in place) so it would put a dot on the door when I shut it. If the plate was longer and wider it would not be so critical but it is not.

Stamped sheet metal, designed for lowest cost manufacturing and pure functionality. Magnets are not fixed in place.

Bought these to replace the closures on my closet doors. 20lb magnets hold just enough to keep the doors securely shut. Installed easily and in minutes. Very satisfied. Came with 5 magnets, but missing a screw for a the last magnet.

We have a large Maine Coon cat and he gets into the kitchen cabinets. These magnetic latches were more than strong enough to stop him.

These magnets work great. They hold firmly and seem very sturdy.

These work well for what they are.Only issue are the screws are soft and easily strips.Nothing a trip to the hardware store won't fix but should be noted.
