Shea Moisture Mommy & Me Pre/Post Natal Firming Massage Lotion, 13 Ounce

Update: I received my new bottle and it comes out of the pump! Super happy & loving my lotion!I LOVE these products & I especially love this product line being pregnant. I used the balm in the jar all through my pregnancy, loved the scent & moisture it delivered. Thought I would give this lotion a try. And as someone else said, based on the consistency being so thick, I couldn’t get any lotion out of the pump. It’s so thick I could barely get any out of the bottle when I took the pump off. I’m 9 months preg now and can’t feel my hands. I called the manufacturer today and they had lots of explanations as to why they package as they do to prevent mold & contamination- but when we can’t get the lotion to come through the pump it is SO frustrating. There is no easy way to get it out, other than what 1 reviewer said to transfer into another jar. Amazon is shipping me a new one and I am sending this bottle back, but after reading all the reviews looks like I will be transferring my new lotion into the jar. I'm addicted to this line of products scent. So of course had to purchase the lotion to go with my oil and scrub... Well, this lotion is so thick it doesn't come out (or even really up) the pump at all. I love this lotion so much though. It works great and makes even the toughest dry skin spots soft again. So I just used some 6 oz apothicary style lotion jars, cut my bottle into thirds with a box cutter and divided it between the jars. I've had to do such before when my hubby's Wyndmere lotion pump gave up... A little work but well worth it for good products 😉

I love the smell of this lotion and it is amazing; however, once you get about half way through the bottle the lotion becomes too thick and the dispenser no longer works. I then decided to cut the bottle open and use it that way but it ended up drying up- prior to that I tried adding a little water but it would not mix into the lotion so with different packaging this lotion would be 5 stars but the pump does not work for the formula.

The moisturizer is ok, it’s thick and sinks into the skin fast. It’s so thick I can’t get it out of the pump, it really needs to come in a jar, I don’t see any tightening effect from it, to me it’s just a basic shea butter.

Let me start by saying I LOVE this lotion. I’ve used it my entire pregnancy to successfully prevent stretch marks. It’s super thick, and moisturizes well. The scent is a little on the sweet side but I wouldn’t call it overpowering, I really like it.But the packaging is awful. This lotion is far too thick for a pump bottle. I’m on my 3rd bottle and I’ve broken the pump on 2 of them. My no means should the poor packaging choice deter you, it’s just more of an annoyance; slice the bottle open (carefully!!) and empty into a mason jar or body butter tub.Bottom line, this lotion is awesome, just buy it already.

I love this scent, love this moisturizer. It's one of the few things my husband asks me to buy more of because he loves the scent (on me ;)..........BUT PLEASE Shea Moisture, stop putting it in the pump bottle. I have bought two bottles so far (one in a local store and one through Amazon) and both were so thick I couldn't get ANY out. I have to either take the pump off and squeeze (quite forcefully) to get some out or gently heat the product so it thins out and pour it into a small container. Please just put it in a tin or something that you would use for a body butter.

I really loved this stuff and the smell was amazing. The only issue I had was that it was too thick for the pump. I had to unscrew the top, turn it upside down and shake it into my hands which would cause a lil mess sometimes since you couldn't control how much was coming out. I think it should be in a jar being that's it's more of a butter than a lotion. Other than that, I loved it and kept it in my purse at all times during my pregnancy

I typically stick with SM and Burts Bees products for their ingredient (or lack of ingredient) list, and most smell very naturally perfumed and low-odor. This scent was WAY to overpowering for me and the scent doesn't smell organic at all. It doesn't smell bad per se, just smells WAY too much and not like the natural scents I'm used to from this brand. Passed this on to a friend.

Not for me !Saw this reviewed on youtube, and wanted to give it a try.1) The product is too thick for the pump, so you have to unscrew it and squeeze it into your hand2) The smell is very very overpowering, it smells like a very sweet and sickly playdo type substance3) It didn't sink into my skin easily

Shipping was fast. Recently found shea moisture for my girls (baby formula) and decided to try it myself. Weather or not it is firming my mama belly after three babies in four years I don't know, BUT it's very moisturizing and smells amazing! Defiantly reccomend it.
