Fixed issue!
Arrived quickly, easy install and ac works. Feels cold in 15 seconds. It started working intermittent and taking to long to get cool past 2yrs (common valve failure VW Jetta).**Update 300 miles still blowing icy air ,comes on within few seconds. Versus before not very cold, shutting off or just not working.

I am fortunate in that a buddy has a lift that we used. We had the old solenoid out and the new one installed in less than 15 minutes. This could not happen WITHOUT THE LIFT! Without a lift this job would be a real pain. You have the plastic skid plate to remove to access the area of the AC Compressor. Since we could stand under vehicle the angles to get into the location, especially with the snap ring pliers was very easy. if this was laying on your back under car ramps it would be very difficult. My advice: if you need the part, and its easy to determine if you do ( watch videos on line) buy the part and see if a local mechanic will install for $30-$40. FYI couldn't find part locally, unless dealer which was outrages in price. One other thing: I am sure that unscrupulous mechanics will tell you to replace the compressor etc. NOT NEEDED...save yourself $100'sUpdate 6/4 /19: The AC is running great -ice cold! In fact Ithink its colder now than when the vehicle was new! I am changing my overall rating to 5 stars. I hope the part lasts! Also, I would strongly encourage changing your serpentine belt if your replacing this solenoid. Why? its very easy to get to from under the vehicle, while doing this solenoid. The belt is relatively cheap $12-$15. One socket on the "tensioner" and it was off and a new installed in under 3 minutes!

Fixed A/C issue for my 2012 Volkswagen Jetta S.E
After replacing my compressor and condenser (thinking that was the issue, money wasted) my air still wouldn’t blow cold, nothing but hot air. As soon as I ordered this piece and had it put on, added a 1/2 can of Freon my air blows so cold I have to run it on a low setting. So glad I purchased from Amazon. This same piece was $180 at Autozone then dropped to $112. Nope!!!!

Junk
After retesting the system and replacing a few extra parts found out that this component was bad brand new tries to work, but it does not function like a broken valve. I wouldn’t use this model of valve.
