What size sandpaper sheets do I need for the floor of the cage

Sandpaper isn’t really needed anymore studies show. I use either newspaper or kitchen roll. Newspaper doesn’t contain lead anymore so it’s safe.

What is the thickness of the bars in mm please?

Between 2/4 mm.they are quite sturdy bars..not like some cages where they are flimsy and make a pinging noise.

Is the cage ok for budgies thank you

Yes, could be used for budgies as the cage is large enough for them.

What kind of door catch does this cage have. In the illustration they look quite weak but others have described them as having bolts - I dont see any.

The door catches are very sturdy. Very robust. This cage is worth every penny. My little budgies love the space they have. They can fly in there.
