Undoubtedly, this is one of the best documentaries ever made about the coast of western Ireland. The photography is breathtaking. International wildlife cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson takes you on a memorable journey along the Atlantic coast, and his commentary is a joy to listen to. The film was recently broadcast on BBC television, and I was spellbound. It's one of those DVDs you really must have if you have an interest in wild places and wildlife.

This film has to be the most exquisite ever !!!!!!!!!!! It is beautifully narrated with a sensitivity for these beautiful landscapes. I love it love it. Managed to catch it twice on the BBC and decided I could not live without it so bought this hard copy. When I am feeling down this is such an uplifting DVD. No one could be disappointed in this. I am now searching out more of this producer's work.

Beautifully filmed portrait in two instalments of the natural scenery of Ireland's west coast, with wildlife cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson acting as presenter and tour guide. His comments, in a calm and authoritative manner, put him on a par with David Attenborough. Stafford-Johnson actually lives on the west coast, and adds a nice personal touch to this film.

I find this series portrays the almost spiritual quality enshrined in the glories of the Irish west coast. Fantastic photography and a peaceful calm commentary with no more words than necessary.

The west coast of Ireland is undeniably outstanding and this DVD demonstrates its unique beauty, Both the photography and dialogue of Colin Stafford-Johnson demonstrate the deep love he has for this amazing part of the world. His use of rowing as a form of transport imbue the film with a deep sense of peace. The most beautiful film of this beloved landscape I have seen. Thank you.

This DVD is fantastic. I watched the series on TV and wanted to watch it again, but the TV programme was no longer available so I bought this DVD.
