Usually when I cool brown rice, it is kind of hard to eat because it isn't exactly soft and it is different from the rice I'm used to eating. But this rice cooker cooks the brown rice perfectly, it tastes like regular white rice because it's so soft. The cooking time was longer but since it came out to taste so much better I thought it was worth it. It is entirely digital so it will tell you exactly how many minutes it has left so you know when you can expect to have rice. There are other uses for it including food steamer, stew, slow cool, oatmeal, soup and many more. Overall, it was a product I would buy again because it is big and multifunctional.

I like the sauté feature. Unfortunately the instructions that come with the cooker are close to useless. I have had to figure out how to use it by trial and error. For example, the Pasta setting automatically cooks for 8 minutes. Apparently one has to start by pouring boiling water into the cooker?

i make homemade dog food and making rice was a terrible chore...not anymore! LOVE THIS!

I wanted a instapot but received this brand instead. I do not know how the instruction booklet for the instapot is but for this HOMEGEEK they are useless. I just seen a review that you used 3C water to make rice and not the typical 2C. I still don’t understand the markings on inside of pot either. So far nothing I have attempted to cook in it has been any good. They isn’t even a phone number or any other information in the book about contacting the company. Still debating on wether to trash or just keep trying.
