OMG, A Real Toilet Seat !!!
I love it ! The reasons I do. It is Solid, a Pretty Blue and there are lots of colors to pick from. The company has a consistent reputation for Quality. Old Working covers hanging around are all Mayfair or Bemis. So that tells you if their still around they are worth buying. The New Screw and Bolt that will never move around. It DOESN'T. Now why would I say that and others have said the opposite. I will tell you why. The toilet seat I had before had the same kind of set up and it was at my place forever and the person before me and the only reason it had to be replaced was that a friend of mine, must have turned a little to the left and a little to the right and made the center hinge come off and that is what led to it's demise. She was a heavy person, but no worse than a kid fidgeting on the toilet seat. I never said a word, but had planned on replacing it afterward, so about a year later I did because I was sick and tired of it coming out of it's hinge while I was on the pot. Nothing like almost falling off the seat. I did bring an extra toilet seat with me from the old home before moving that was new in the package, I figured at some point I could use it. Now was the time and when I put the seat on, I remembered why I needed one in the first place and it was another one of those crappy ones, no pun intended. Yes, I threw the old package away, but it was one that I swear had either cardboard or ply wood to sit on and no padding or not much. It had vinyl on it and a pretty embroidered flower, but just one time sitting on it will tell you it was a health hazard. It not only moved, you had the ring around your butt, not your collar believe me. It was the most uncomfortable seat I had ever sat on. Talk about plastic vinyl and softly sitting on it, no, not at all. It would have cracked and peeled, then sitting on cardboard this winter and the seats are always mighty cold in Maine. So I searched on both Wally and Amazon and this is the one I picked. I had considered a soft seat, same brand but soft to the tush and read many comments and I had seen many photos of yellow foam sticking out of the side of a seam so, I picked this one, A well known Brand that had been around, and the Quality I expected to get at a very reasonable price. You can't ask for better. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the screw and bolt mechanism this Brand has. You don't even need the 5/8 wrench to tighten with. All you do is pop the small covers on the back hinge open, my fingers hurt, so I used a butter knife to GENTLY pop them open, lined it up with the toilet seat holes and then screwed the back on with my fingers while pressing the top of the cover in place and down so it wouldn't come loose over time. When I tightened them the best I could, I took a screw driver and tightened the bolts on top of the toilet cover hinge and it is perfect. You can if you would like, break off the bottom portion of the screw cap that is underneath, but I saved my fingers. It wasn't necessary to do that. So all I had to use for tools were my fingers and the butter knife. I know I will be fine for a real long time now. The soft ones, I likely would have had to replace from a broken seam or it cracking. It is plastic or vinyl and you would expect that, so I didn't get that one. I got the hard, colder one, but it will last. I also remember my Mother as a kid having a seat with a little enamel off in one area. Yes, she had the same kind of toilet seat. As a kid, it drove me nuts to see that when I needed to go and so I remembered it and now I completely understand, it got chipped somehow. Likely something fell from the mirror cabinet and chipped the enamel. So some reviews talk about that, the enamel. It can happen cosmetically, but certainly doesn't hurt the function of the toilet seat cover. So a little carefulness and keeping it clean, i also saw stains some reviewer's mentioned. Well if your in a position where that is going to happen, then you wipe it up after. No worse than a guy not making the hole in the seat, but try to get them to clean that up !!! I did get a kick out of the reviewer that warned about the Self Applied Tanner. So you don't wear that and sit on the seat, you stand up and go and wipe after. But I'm certainly happy with my toilet seat, I'm overjoyed really. It is pretty, it was relatively cheap compared to some that were up to $75 dollars which is really crazy. Their reviews weren't the best either. The seats were really cute, but not at that price and have it wear out just as fast as the bad ones. I highly recommend this toilet seat, and anyone complain, I will give you my old cardboard one. You will never complain again, trust me. Talk about Fake, that was a Fake Toilet Seat.

Looks and feels great! Very solid!
This is a fantastic toilet seat. It does not look or feel cheap at all. It's much more heavy duty and noticeably higher quality than my old plastic Bemis seat, as well as more comfortable. I feel like my skin isn't as likely to stick to it. The install was simple; I could have hand tightened it, but I used a screwdriver for the extra tightness and didn't need anything else. Plyers or something would have worked just as well. The lid does drop heavily but I don't like the slow close seats personally. Very nice black color, shiny and looks great. I didn't expect to like this so much.

Product not delivered
I was given the date of February 13th as day of delivery...package didn't arrived..checked several times....then see it won't be here until Feb. 19th. Not nice to have someone wait all day and not inform them of the delay...bad customer service. Found out at 10 thirty that package was delayed...only when i wnt on to Amazon. Product arrived on February 15th. The seat is well-made....sturdy...but one thing bothers me. After a few months, the color wears off on the back of the seat....due to normal use. And there is a noticeable area of discolor. In all other ways, it is fine.

Works great for my bathroom
Needed a replacement for my bathroom and this does the job. Sturdy, functional, sleek, closes like it should without problem, and can't beat the price. Unless you really look at it or are a professional you wouldn't know its made with plastic material. Would recommend.
