Very underrated knife.
Opens super fast, feels good in the hand, and super sharp. I read reviews saying this knife is hard to handle and stiff but it's really not that bad. Operation with one hand isnt hard or anything. If its too harsh to handle, use some gun lube! The handle is nice to hold and not slippery although its stainless steel, and the GRN is very strong and light. Beautiful knife and well worth the money.

Tight blade... Decent quality. Too heavy
Very tight action. Blade is good. Comfort is not. The clip can be moved so you don't scrape your finger on the locking mechanism. I had to listen the blade so I didn't need a steroid injection into my finger to open it!.. kind of disappointed in this as SOG used to be very \ if not THE highest quality blades available.

Love the light weight
Love how light the weight is compared to my other pocket folding knives. Price is competitve to other similar knives I have bought. It is a split second faster opening than other kives I own, but is not as easy to open due to the spring assist, it requires more muscle.

Impossible to open and close
This knife was absolutely terrible. The blade itself is fantastic, however, opening and especially folding the knife was a two hand job. It required so much effort that I actually looked up videos online to make sure that I wasn't missing anything. I could feel the blade grinding at the hinge as it was being both opened and closed and it was disquieting.

perfect daily carry knife
this knife is amazing! Perfect for a daily carry knife. Stays incredibly sharp, flicks open aggressively, and looks good. Materials feel strong and like it can handle some abuse. Honestly a pleasure to use. Not the lightest weight knife, but I'm not taking it backpacking or camping where I'm looking to count grams.

Not SOG's Best
When I buy a SOG knife, I generally expect good quality pieces. I also understand that most of the SOGs I buy are lightweight performance knives which are not as heavy. It is important to know that weight is not a determining factor for quality. This knife however is not the quality I usually get in a SOG knife. It is a decent knife, though there is some blade wobble and the action is not as good as most SOG folders. I gave it three stars because it is not entirely bad. It has a nice blade and a comfortable handle. It is also a less expensive than a lot of SOG folders.

Stiff action, stiff assist, stiff locking mechanism.
I bought this because it looked like an update to the SOG Flash II knife I've had since 2005 and it was on sale for a great price. The knife dimensions are almost identical to the Flash II. The blade itself is sharp, efficient, and works very well. Now onto the bad stuff: the assisted opening requires an assist because it's so incredibly stiff it's practically dangerous. The spring and folding action is stiff, notchy, and not smooth. The lock feature (one of the reasons I wanted this) snags and is hard to unlock or lock the blade.I figured it would take a little while for the knife mechanicals to break in, but that's not really the case. I suspect this knife will go back on the shelf and the old flash II will go back into service

The SOG Flashback is a wicked cool, and very light assisted folder
The SOG Flashback is a wicked cool, and very light assisted folder. However they need to take away the safety,as it slipped causing the knife not to open. I did what Nothing fancy told me and super glued it so it would not move
