can you leave it white after you spray with out painting over it?

Well its just plaster paint gives it durability without paint don't think it would hold up to much, I wouldn't recommend not painting over it...

Can I apply water based orange peel over peel and stick adhesive residue?

Not sure. Seems better to remove it first because you should be able to be pretty aggressive with the wallboard since the spray covers well.

It clogged after one use. I tried warming the can placing it in hot water but that did not work. Is there any other suggestion?

Try putting a needle in the spray nozzle sometimes it dries in there
