Works ok. We sometimes get false “door closed” alerts when the door is already closed. Depending on how quickly the door is opened/closed it sometimes misses the “door open” alert and only sends the “door closed” alert. Also had to turn off the sound for the alerts as it was a blaring alarm that would keep going until you acknowledged the alert. Wish the audio alert would stop after a few seconds - like most notification sounds. The biggest complaint is the battery is low after six months and needs to be replaced already. “Up to two years of continuous use” is a lie - the battery definitely didn’t last anywhere close to 2 years. And once the battery gets close it will send continuous alerts “low battery”, “door closed”. After receiving 75+ notifications in the past 3 hours I’m able to pull the battery until I get a new one. And the battery is not a standard one that is easy to find in stores. The battery is a C2 which is short and fat.

These installed easy and the app setup was easy. The app even accepts some brands of smart plugs so you can run it all from the same app. My only HUGE complaint and the reason these are 3-stars vs 5-stars is the notifications. When the doors open or close the alert on your phone sounds like a 5-alarm fire that doesn’t go away until you grab the phone and open the app. THERE IS NO ADJUSTING THE SETTINGS ON THIS!!!! I would prefer an option to just have a one-time ding or voice alert that said a door was opened or closed. Instead the phone is repeatedly screaming at you to open your phone, open the app, and review the crisis off the open door. So frustrating. I hope the developers fix this soon, otherwise I will replace these with something else.

Work fine, most of the time. Occasionally the censor does to accurately reflect the door status however, my trim along the door is not the best therefore I cannot confirm if it is malfunctioning or it is because of how it it attached to the door. I do not get push notifications which is a problem. I cannot seem to figure out to fix that issue. Overall, it is good for what it is. The device works well when paired to setting scenes. The action is decent. Takes about 2 seconds to activate once triggered. I would recommend this product.

I am deeply invested in the geeni ecosystem. We also have some nest products but I didn't want to shell out top dollar for something similar. All it does is detect motion. The two pieces have to be touching when installed. You can install via the included magnets or the 3m strips. It does have a slightly slow response time (1 second version instantaneous) and sometimes I get duplicate "door closed" notifications but it doesn't bother me that much. If those things bother you, don't get this product.

Great product, easy to set up, does the job without the need for using alexa or other similar products by connecting to it via their free app. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that every so often, after it’s been closed for hours I get a second message the door is closed. Not sure what causes the glitch to send out a duplicate notification hours after, but it works well and I got used to it.

It works but the response it not very fast. My boyfriend has the hue with their motion sensor and the response is almost automatic while mines takes 5 seconds to turn the light on. If I could go back I would spend the money to get the hue

I bought this product to work with Alexa an trigger routines when someone opens or closes the door. However the device doesn’t work properly with Alexa as advertised. I contact support and only answer that they were working on it.

Love it but hate the delay. I've bought 6 of them so far and using them to trigger lights in rooms was my secondary use for them but the delay is to bad for it. Usually 5-13 second delay time
