Fantastic Plastic that’s made in Canada!!!
Im a DIY person and didnt really like the louver system that’s readily madeThat are exclusively made of Aluminum. I strongly believe that incorporating a louvre system is the main advantage of adjusting the roof of my pergola against the sun throughout the year (full sun during summer months). This is the most affordable solution to my design and could not be happier that it is made in Canada. Install is quite easy by following the company’s you tube video. A lot of concerns of the wood sagging overtime, so my design only used 2.5 feet. Avoiding any warping, sagging on the long run.But bare in mind that, wood deforming overtime is dependent on the length of wood (the longer the cuts, the moreIt’ll deform). Completely not because of the louver system. I’m sure it can handle any lightweight composites if you avoid wood. I used cedar that’s has been kiln dried so the moisture content is 3-5% so it’s very lightweight. I also believe that because the louver system is plastic, it is quite tolerant and flexible against the free play between fastening the louvers to each other. I will update on how it looks after a year or two being baked by the sun in Southern California. Thank you.

Easy DIY & looks amazing!
Easy to install. Don’t be intimidated by the bag of parts. I found the directions a little hard to follow but I watched the Nuvo Iron YouTube channel for installation help & was able to install easily. The blinds work great, I get so many compliments on it. It is made of plastic but is very sturdy & has survived a tornado. I added this to the back wall of my pergola

Work great and easy to put up.
These are great for adding slats to our back porch for shade. I've bought 3 sets so far - just keep adding as I have time. They work great and are holding up under the Texas sun. Only wish is that they were metal instead of plastic as they'd likely be even more long-lived, but they haven't failed, faded, or broken yet so I can't really complain.

Awesome project
We were looking for a better solution for privacy from our a hole neighbors. I gave this a shot and bought two kits. All parts were there and nothing was defective. Yes it is plastic but it’s very well made and strong. Got the lumber and painted it after cutting and measuring. I used two boards vertically to close in the frame a hair. Went up pretty quick. I did watch the YouTube video a few times to make sure I was confident. It came out so great. It’s a bit squeaky when I open it but we don’t need to have it open. It looks very fancy and I’m extremely satisfied with the purchase.

Strong and easy to install
The media could not be loaded. I did a vertical installation using PVC trim boards to block wind and sun on my back deck these worked out perfect

Great way to adjust privacy
I needed to add privacy to ground floor glass doors so I used 4 sets of these to make a privacy fence. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. So far no issues and seem durable for being plastic. One note, instead of ripping down the 5.5, I just notched the corners to make these fit.

The metal version is better for wood
I like the screws that came with it. They seem high quality and correct size. That is all which is good about this bag of plastic wing dings.I knew when I opened the bag and realized they are all plastic I should have sent it back. They were a complete pain in the foot compared to the metal version because the material you are installing as the louver has to be cut perfectly to fit in the holders and not all wood is the same width do you get to sand or cut the edges to get it to fit. The space between the holder and the wall or 4x4 is too wide which makes them seem flimsy and reduces privacy. The plastic does seem to be tough but time will tell. I do not have confidence they will last.I believe they would be ideal for glass because of the notches on the holders and only for a small opening 3x3 at most. Plastic and glass mate well. The metal version gives you more room for error on your cuts.

Plastic in the Sun, easily cracked. Wouldn't recommend for dry hot climates.
If you live in a hot and dry climate, you might want to think twice about buying this set which is plastic, it doesn't seem to hold up very well in the sun. I've had 2 brackets out of the first 8 that I put up break on me. Everything was going well until I attached the boards, then it went downhill from there. I'm not sure I should continue on as I think that if a good wind comes along it will probably break them, especially sitting in the sun for a long period of time. We all know what that does to plastic. So I may end up getting the metal ones, but of course the boards that I already cut and stained will probably not fit as I think the metal ones have a shorter clearance with the sides. I may be out the price of wood and these cheap brackets, just my opinion. Lesson learned i guess.
