Worth every cent and then some
Great looking TV. Best money I've ever spent. Decided to take a chance on it despite there not being many reviews or info on it online, glad I did! My poor cell phone pictures don't do it justice, but hopefully help more than the stock photos. City picture was with lights on, uncalibrated, set up to test on the floor of my theater room. Picture of the snake was after mounting, lights dimmed, minor picture adjustments. The OSD is basic but well featured, the TV speakers, for TV speakers, sounded decent enough before being disabled to leave audio to my Marantz SR5009. The image quality is astounding, watching 4k youtube videos, everything was surreal - from the glow of the northern lights exploding off the screen to fireworks in Australia, neon tubes on cars in Japan, streams and geysers in Yellowstone, heck, even an old guy walking down the street in New York in black & white - everything has amazing depth, texture, detail and crispness that leaves my jaw on the floor over and over. 1080p content looks the best I've ever seen it as well, many videos I thought I was extremely familiar with having details that I instantly caught that I had never noticed before in dozens or in some cases hundreds of viewings. One downside (aside from all the drool you're going to need to mop) is the lack of HDMI inputs, specifically only one HDMI 2.0 input. This wasn't a problem for me - the Marantz SR5009 has 8 HDMI 2.0 inputs, so I was willing to overlook that, however it could be a dealbreaker for some. As far as I know, no other 4k TV anywhere _near_ this price range has even a single HDMI 2.0 input, so it's tough to fault it for that. Final note, this TV uses a 200x200mm VESA mount, information I could not find anywhere when trying to buy a compatible mount. If you're looking for a 4k TV on a budget, or have been shopping for similar sized name brand 1080p TV's because you thought you couldn't afford a good 4k TV, I strongly recommend this TV. I don't normally leave reviews, but after agonizing over whether or not to order this because of scarce information available, I hope this helps make the decision a little easier for prospective buyers.

True 4k. Yes 60htz @4k
First let me say this tv has next to zero information about it. Scarce review and even less real world user info. The picture looks great with a little calibration and tweaking. Colors popped and 1080p and 4k looked gorgeous and for the price even looks sweeter. I had aa vizio 50 inch 4k the picture looked great but 50 inches just wasn't the sweet spot so I returned it. instead of getting the mote expensive vizio 55 inch 4k I took a gamble and got this quasar. it paid off. the quasar is just as vibrant and gorgeous at a better price point. The most important spec to mention is the hdmi 2.0 port. I was able to get 60htz@4k through my pc using hdmi port 2 with a little trail and error. shadow of mordor and dragonball xenoverse played @4k 60 htz. so yes this tv can be used as a pc monitor. now for the negative. The sound leaves something to be desired as sounds were a liitle muffuled. Do youself a favor and get a universal remote as the remote was laughably cheap and had horrible range. but with great picture quality and a great price point all is forgiven. I highley recommend this tv

Pretty Good Quality but have a few shortcomings
I purchased this TV because of the low price for 4K TV. I couldn't find much information or reviews on this unit, so I took a gamble, hoping it would be a great bargain. Don't expect that this TV quality would closely match the many higher priced models, but for the price many would find the shortcoming acceptable. The picture quality is very good in very lid and colorful scenes, as long there is no dark or sky scenes where there is color gradients. Dark or shadowed scenes look pretty blotchy, showing annoying color bands where it supposed to have a smooth color gradient transition. The color banding problem on this TV is one of the worst I have seen. There is also a noticeable blur on moving scenes but not any more than others 60Hertz units. The remote control is very cheaply looking and it operation is awful. It's not very responsive, it needs to be pointed toward right edge of the TV for it to work. HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 inputs are version 1.4 , and when I tried to connect my Onkyo receiver in 4K up-scaling output mode, it didn't work. "NOT SUPPORTED" showed on the screen. but if your signal is 1080p or below, the TV will do a pretty good job up-scaling it to a nice quality picture. The only HDMI input that would work with a 4K or 4K up-scaled signal is the HDMI 3 input which is a version 2.0, nevertheless the quality seems to increase when the output from my receiver are set to1080p or through , instead of the 4K up-scaled signal. The HDMI 3 input gave me trouble when I first connected the TV. I got constantly "NO SIGNAL" messages, and blank or green screens, but after disconnecting and reconnecting everything a few times, the problems seems to have disappear. So far I haven't gotten a "NO SIGNAL" message or a blank or green screens. My conclusion is that this TV is not closely as good as most of the more expensive 4K models in the market, but the picture quality is as good or better than many 1080p TV's priced around the same price.

Quasar Delivers At An Affordable Price!
Simply overwhelming! The clarity and improvement of Quasar's 4K 55 inch TV over standard 1080p is uncanny. All of my expectations were absolutely blown away by this picture quality. Most impressive: the use of a next-gen HDMI cable, plugged into the 2.0 HDMI port attached to a Samsung Blu-ray player. The up-conversion of Blu-ray movies on the 4K Quasar is so sharp and crisp that it's like watching TV for the first time. The better news: dedicated 4K DVD players are due in the stores this Christmas. You can easily pay a grand or more for 4K TV but this Quasar is value-priced and delivers a top quality, high-end picture that rivals the big name screens.
