Using it in and inflatable Intex Pure Spa, works great!
It works well to keep the pH balanced. My wife's eczema flared up when we would use the hot tub a lot. Even though I maintained the hot tub well, her eczema would come back. I was getting lonely using the hot tub by myself, so after a little research, I thought I would give this a try. It is expensive , but should last half the year (78oz / 3oz = 26 uses)I was skeptical but I have to say I am not lonely in the hot tub any longer. It really makes it easy to take care of.I would recommend starting with new water and clean tub. I did a chlorine shock at 80° after it got to 104° I balanced the pH and calcium hardness and used chlorine granules to get all levels good. I waited a day, checked my levels, and they were the same. I added the Silk Balance and circulated it for 10 minutes. It seemed to "lock" in the pH really well. It made our skin feel great, no smell at all and her eczema is going away! Our tub is only 200 gallons. After each use, I check our 1" chlorine dispenser after each use, using only one tab at a time, until its gone. (Barley use any chlorine anymore!) I add non chlorine shock (MSP) about 1/2 tablespoon and run the pump for 10 minutes. That is it. Once a week add the Silk Balance. I found it will slightly raise alkalinity and pH and level out just fine. For less then a $1 per day I solved the problem, and we are using much less chlorine and other chemicals, that I am not even factoring in.

... bought a new tub and decided this was the best time to try Silk
We bought a new tub and decided this was the best time to try Silk. Our previous tub generally had a yellowish tint to the water. Even though everything continued to test in normal ranges we couldn't seem to get rid of the color. We also used bromine and found we were always itchy and smelly after being in the tub.Enter Silk...we waited a week before adding Silk Balance to the water. This was so we could ensure the ph was balanced. Every other test checked out fine but for some reason raising and lowering the ph feels like more of a guessing game on. For this reason I like to wait overnight to let the chemicals balance out before testing and adjusting. We also adjusted to using Silver Ion cartridges with a non-chlorine shock after each use. I found after adding the Silk that the water turned a slight blue color. Not so much that it looked fake but much more appealing than the yellow of the old tub. The ph has only required minor adjustments the first and second week. After the third week it tested perfectly. The amount of effort required to maintain the balance of chemicals seems to be drastically less than without the Silk. This could be because of the Silver Ion, but we have also noticed less itchiness which we did have with the Silver Ion alone. The price is expensive however after receiving the shipment I took a look and we estimate the bottle will last us around 6 months. Also, I expected this would be a powder. There isn't really a reason why, I was just shocked when I discovered it was liquid.

Must have for your hot tub
Been using product for years. Worth every penny to keep water in good shape and reduce time spent managing tub water quality.

Expensive but worth it
There's nothing worse than enjoying a hot soak only to come out with irritated, itchy skin. Silk works perfectly. I have sensitive skin and feel great every time I get out of the hot tub. It was expensive but worth the price for me.
