My instructor suggested this music to strengthen my skills. It is challenging and fun to play.

If you need the standard Major and Melodic minor scale and arpeggio patterns, this book is clearly for you. There are a number of decent scale books you can get. This one fits square in the "Of course!" recommendation for middle school to high school students.The range is from chalumeau E to altissimo F which is very reasonable for the above mentioned levels.Personally, I use this book to drill the basic patterns at BestDrumTrainer (Speed Trainer beta) online. Great metronome that increases speed for you as programmed.

Good exercise book for daily warmup. Have taken up clarinet after a 30 year break, I practice scales and exercises more than songs for breathing, technique and note to key recognition.

Excellent exercises for those needing to drill scales in many different keys and modes. Although specific changes in modes are not labelled.

Got this book for my son who is playing clarinet for 5 years at the advice of his private instructor. He will use this book for years and it will help him become a more diversified player. I recommend this book for moderate clarinet players who want to challenge their skills.
