Wonderful isolation and comfortable
I bought these in an attempt to make my own workshop earbuds that could cut out the noise of a table saw. I knew my headphones wouldn't fit these eartips becasue of the bore. Etymotic has about a 3.0mm hole for the eartip to fit on. most earbuds (including every pair of mine) has about a 4.9mm hole for ear buds. However I had faith that I could get something to work.It actually wasn't very difficult at all. I'm not advocating you do this and I'm sure Etymotic isn't advocating it either but all I had to do was take some pliers and remove the grey tube inside of the tips. This leaves a hole which is about 4.9MM and easily fits on all my headphones.I tested these with many headphones and to quantify the isolation I would put on some music and see how loud it had to be for me to be able to hear it. With these eartips and nosie cancellation on I only had to have my music at about 35% which was fantastic. Without noise cancelling on I had to go up to about 60% which is ok but I wanted better. One thing that's very interesting is of my noise cancelling headphones only one actually worked with these tips. Some of my other headphones seemed to be out of wack and didn't cancel noise anymore but just introduced some white hiss noise. My final setup (for now I guess) is to use these tips on my Ausounds Au-Flex headphones (those headphones are super awesome BTW). I don't recommend using them for any Anker headphones. I tried them on my P3 and my Liberty Pro 2 and neither were optimal. the P3 were a pair of headphones that broke the noise cancellation. Also neither could fit in their case anymore. The Ausounds are a neckband headphone so there was no worry about the charging case. Actually I'd venture a guess that no TWS headphones would be able to charge with these on.Or you could just get some etymotic headphones and use them the way they are designed.... but where is the fun in that?

These are less miserable than the Etymotic flange tips
I have been using Etymotic high fidelity ear plugs for many years when I go to concerts and movies or anywhere else where I need ear protection. For the longest time I have been using them with the foam tips as opposed to the flange tips. I believe the foam provide more protection from my subjective opinion. More importantly, I feel that these are more comfortable than the flange tips by multiples. This is not to say that I can comfortably wear these all day. After about an hour and a half I am usually starting to notice them more, but I usually can handle these for a full rock concert. At that point I am usually happy to take them out. The key thing is that they are way more tolerable than the flange tips.

WYSIWYG
They are what they are. Fit big ear holes. Don't change the music too drastically. Comfortable until they oxidize and become dry this losing the girth big earholes need. Mine last a couple monyhs p/set using them a few times/week.

Good Until They Aren't
Love the isolation and fit on these tips, but they don't last as long as I wish they would. I struggle to get a week or two of heavy listening out of them before the tube detatches from the foam, and the foam gets very stiff. Wearing these has the same isolation as very heavy earplugs!

The stay in ear well
They stay in the ear very well and would work great for listening to music. However, I was looking for something a little less dense that would allow me to hear my surroundings better as I use on my portable police radio earpiece. That is my problem not the product. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

Best Sound Isolation
I live in a supremely noisy household and have to study. These are my best friend. I can't hear anything - not the tv, not the dog, not someone talking directly to me and right next to me, not the hair dryer, seriously not anything and I have amazing hearing (people joke I have superman hearing). If you need to block out noise to focus but don't want to kill your eardrums, these will be your best friend. And what's even better? When the music is changing and therefore those silent 2 seconds, I still don't hear anything. The only downside to this would be if someone was in my house burglarizing me. That's how good they are. And I tested 8 different brands in the range of $10-100. I cannot afford to go higher than $100. If you're looking for over that for amazing noise isolation, then that's a different story. For the price I paid, the etymonic in-ears were the best and these foam buds were the best out of all the ear pieces they provided.

These wear out fast
Despite being the most comfortable tips for me on my ER4SRs, Etymotic's foam tips wear out for me often after a week of every other day usage. I use my Etymotics primarily for noise cancellation, and the silicone tips hurt and have bad sealing, making foam tips my best option. However, the foam detaches from the shaft, leaving the foam in my ear, meaning I have to fish it out.If you're particularly gentle with them, gentle when rolling the foam to insert them, and follow all of the instructions regarding pulling your ear up, relaxing your jaw, etc, you can prolong their life somewhat. In short, you don't want to torque on it while rolling, and you don't want to "push" on it while inserting it in your ear.If these didn't have durability issues, I'd give them five stars.

Good replacement tips for your Etymotics
I use my Ety's every time I ride my motorcycle. I realize their dB rating is only 10-12 but I also run with baffles in my exhaust, and a fairly quiet Shoei X-Fourteen helmet to begin with. These tips wear out in about 2 weeks of 6-day-a-week use. You might get them to stay in your ears longer, but they just don't rebound as well anymore, so I would just suggest replacing them every other Monday morning or something, like I do. $10 covers me for 2 months of riding, and that's not bad. I didn't like other earplug options, so these do the trick. Not the cheapest, but certainly comfortable and a good enough sound reduction rating.
