TDP Far Infrared Mineral Heat Lamp w/a Detachable Big 6.5 inch Head Latest Version * KS 9800* Floor Model

I have been dealing with lower back issues for many years. Someone recommended getting a TDP lamp, so in doing research and reading reviews I ordered it. Putting it together was easy for the most part. I was having trouble getting the head into the ball joint, so I called the company and they sent a video and it helped. I find the unit stay steady and does not tip over. The unit takes about 10 minutes to warm up and then you are good to go. You a hear the timer while using it but it is not a bother. While many people use it laying down, I used it standing while working. The heat feels great on the back. Hopefully overtime this will help with the pain I get from time to time.

After over a decade of acupuncture and nearly always having the practitioner use a TDP lamp on me (usually they would position it on my feet or belly) I decided to finally get one. There's a lot of models to choose from but am happy I chose this one. People are lowering their rating for the lamp to heat. Well hello??? The lamp needs time to heat up! Ten minutes is not that long to wait! It's a heat lamp it's not going to be instantaneous. The construction imo is high quality. The bolts to the various parts needs to be assembled properly and tightened correctly. The head is MORE than secure snapped into the socket/stem of the lamp. Even without the screw or the screw a little loose (as another purchaser complained about) there is NO way the head would fall out of the socket. It takes a lot of pressure to get the stem locked in in the first place upon assembly. The operation of the 60 minute timer is smooth and helpful. People complain about the ticking sound but I lOVE IT! It reminds me of the tranquil and relaxing times of acupuncture sessions! But it also provides a reminder that the lamp is active and on. There is actually a setting to allow you to simply turn it to on position… So you don’t have to listen to the ticking timer if you don’t want. It's a wonderful lamp. I highly recommend it and in two weeks of owning have used dozens of times for everything. Aches and pains from gardening (low back, upper back strain, shoulder issues, tennis elbow) and for menstrual cramps it's amazing! Or if you have an upset stomach or tension headache. I cannot believe I waited this long to get one!

UPDATE: I have used this for several months. Still in perfect working condition. I am still extremely happy with this purchase!I bought this after my acupuncturist has used on one me weekly for a year or more. It is wonderful to reduce pain and tightness in muscles and body. I have been using heating pads for years (highly recommend sunbeam brand, their warranty is wonderful). This is a next step that works even better with longer lasting results.I was told to buy a TDP lamp with the mineral plate and the bulb not the led lights. This model fit all the recommendations and more. The head is a bit bigger than the one at the office and it warms a bigger area. It takes a few minutes to warm up and not nearly the 20-30 minutes. Maybe 5-7 minutes for mine. I like that this has a timer to prevent staying under too long. (I want to because it feels so good). I also like that I can hear the timer click off when my time is done, the digital models are silent. The positioning is easy and solid, it stays where you put it. The base and wheels were easy to set up and really the only thing that needed put together. The unit moves easily over my carpet and wood floors.All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

We bought this lamp 2 years ago and have used it almost daily. We also love our Far infrared heating pad but this lamp is a godsend. It takes a few minutes to heat up, maybe 5 or 10, but sometimes I use it for hours at a time, during our brutal winters, to warm up head to toe.More often, I used it over the thymus for general well being, and used to take a nap beneath it for 20 minutes before or after lunch every day. I hardly ever felt sick or run down and I can't believe that's a coincidence. I also love using this for strained or sore muscles, anxiety, gut inflammation, cramps, you name it and it will soothe and support.Over time you will want to replace the mineral plate, and this came with one replacement. I believe additional plates are around $30 and last a very long time. But as it's the minerals being infused via the heat that makes this so unique and powerful, just keep that in mind.I haven't been without one of these in my home for about 20 years. We had the two-headed variety before but the single head is ample.We also use this on our cats, as they love the warmth and if one of them is poorly we let them nap under this and they do seem right as rain later.I can't imagine not having one in the house now.

I purchased this lamp based on recommendations. It was good when it worked. This lamp stopped working after 2 weeks. Contacted the seller and asked to do some trouble shooting. After several tries the lamp still did not work. We figured out it was just the head assembly that is broken.The seller said it was easier for him if I would just process a return with Amazon. I told him I threw away the box and the base was very heavy. I did not want to disassemble and ship the entire product. I asked if we can just exchange the head, which was small and light, also reassemble of the head was simple.He said no, and to return to Amazon. I feel this is terrible customer service, and this product should have lasted longer than 2 weeks. So you want to purchase a different brand from a different seller with a good review. This product is good if not for the reliability. Do not recommend this lamp at all.

Item was defective. It happens. I returned it with no trouble and ordered another one. This is a great lamp. I owned the previous version of this same model. However, there was a note in the package which said this item had been tested. That's odd. It could have been damaged in shipping although there was no evidence of any damage on the outside. It happens. It does.
