Pros: breath-ability, fit/stay, comparabilityCons: fit over earsThe cap is thin and sturdy. It very breathable but does not stretch which helps with keeping it in place when riding with a lot of head movement. The cap is thin and fits well under helmets especially those that are a tighter fit. I've had other caps which have thick hems that can cause a lot of pressure around the forehead but this one doesn't. Since this covers your ears it makes putting on a helmet with earphones/earplugs in much easier. No added pressure around the ear cups and even makes taking off the helmet much smoother than other caps which can shift around during use but this doesn't.

Not itchy or irritable to the ear with the helmet on

I bought this because I had issues with my ears folding over when I put on a snug helmet. It does the job - it keeps my ears from folding over! It also keeps my helmet from smelling like a swamp after hot rides - lol. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it’s pricey for what it is. Then again, ALL Alpinestars products are pricey!To the people who complained about it, read the description of what this is. It isn’t a hat. It isn’t supposed to fit like a hairnet. It’s not supposed to be worn on it’s own. IT’S A HELMET LINER. It’s supposed to fit right UNDER a helmet.If you’re looking for a helmet liner, give it a shot!

I almost returned this, but I'm glad I didn't. It's really much thinner than the image makes it look. The fabric is very thin and fully transparent. It also doesn't fully cover my gauged ear lobes, which is part of the reason I wanted it - to keep my plugs from falling out when I put on my helmet. However, it keeps my hair in place and protects it from the friction of putting the helmet on and taking it off. Also, it helps my helmet grip my head better without making my helmet feel tighter. A quality product and it's worth the money.

I tried other helmet caps for motorcycle helmets which were elastic. When putting helmet on the caps would often get pulled down partially over eyes. No good. In comparison this Alpinestars cap is non elastic so it won’t get pulled down over face. It is exactly what I needed. Main purpose was to avoid ears from folding over when putting on helmet. It also keeps hair from getting all crazy. It is expensive for what it is but performs perfectly. I will buy a second one.

For an Alpinestars product, I expected better. This is little more than a fancy hair net, and it doesn't fit my head at all.

I got this skull cap to keep my ears from folding when putting my helmet on. Works perfectly! Wish I would have seen these and thought of buying one years ago!
