These calipers are very accurate and have a high build quality, as you would expect from Mitutoyo. I bought this particular model because it supports SPC output. I got the "USB Input Tool" cable (model 06ADV380C) that is compatible with this caliper model, and it works like a charm! Press a button while measuring and the calipers will type the measurement right into your computer (Excel or whatever you want). This makes the data entry for repetitive measuring tasks (such as measuring many parts, or measuring many dimensions of a single object) much easier.For all Mitutoyo equipment on Amazon, I recommend you only buy from the Amazon LLC seller. Third party sellers on Amazon may not ship you a genuine Mitutoyo product. However, the goods from the Amazon LLC seller are genuine.

I’ve used these calipers a thousand times already and no matter what its measurements are repeatable and reliably accurate. They have never failed me in any way. You will not be disappointed in purchasing.

My 45 yr. old Starrett dial caliper started losing its accuracy, due to it being worn. Went with this caliper for several reasons.The price, 4th place (.0000), and the ability to use on metrics.The case could be a bit more protective.

I like the fact it has a zero return no mater what it you measured when shutting off and then turning back on. for a caliper it's accurate in what you measure unless you need super high accuracy then you need to get a expensive one $500 to $1000 or more range

As expected...

I reviewed the posts on what to check to make sure this was the real, made in Japan, product. The certificate of inspection appears to be genuine Mitutoyo Corporation. The inspector's name appears to be Kanji (Japanese). The warranty has a Japanese address for service. It's ISO certified 17043. The "absolute" zero point setting works instantly on start up, if you follow the instructions. The comparison measurement and the absolute measurement functions work as advertised. On known values I can compare, the accuracy is past what I can dispute. I rarely need the accuracy of this instrument, but it is such fun to own it.

As a professional machinist, I need an accurate caliper. These are light, accurate and easy to read. You don't want to scrap a $20,000 part because you were too cheap to spend 40 bucks more.

I had many different kinds of calibers through last decade, never pushed myself to buy a really quality ones, and these exceed my expectations. There is no play in them, they show 0 if you squeeze them, when others start showing -0.01 or something. These have hard steel. Also mine are genuine that was the part I was most afraid of to get counterfeit product. Will recommend it anytime, however these are pricy

wow, love these calipers, i bought them for myself as sometimes its nice to have nice things, not only that but they are awesome when compared to some of the heap ones i have owned in the past, a bit expensive but if you want precision.........might have a look at the Mitutoyo micrometer for my next treat
