Perfect for vegan bbq
I liked this because it had a substantial texture, like meat. Bbq sauce, and good to go! Sandwich, taco, etc.

Good meat substitute
For St. Patrick's Day, I made corned jackfruit stew. It was delicious! I had never even heard of jackfruit but the recipe called for green jackfruit. Once cooked with all the spices of corned beef, it has the consistency of meat and it absorbs the spices well. So now I'll be a regular jackfruit user.

Soft and good.
There was more brine than I expected. But the jackfruit was great too. It was soft and easy to make into a curry. I tried an Asian recipe with this and it came out really well. One can was dented though...

I will make thia again I have already ordered more . Loved it. To bad I cannot grow it here, I would !!!!!!! Judy

Add jackfruit to your food list!
I have a recipe for a jackfruit ragu. There was just a little work involved because I needed to shred the chunks, but it was just a matter of squashing it between my fingers. It made the most amazing ragu sauce I have ever eaten!

Meaty consistency but I did not like it.
It is definitely the texture of MEAT. Maybe I cooked it wrong but I just couldn't stomach the Briney aftertaste. Did not enjoy it at all. I understand the concept of it but I just couldn't get past that after taste.
