These traps work!
These traps work!I inherited the care and rehab of a squirrel, squirrels eat nuts, and being that nuts aren’t exactly inexpensive, in October when stores carry them, I buy up pounds at a time. Unfortunately, bagged (the mesh type) nuts often come with larva, which I wasn’t aware of till recently! By December there were moths flying around my kitchen! I also didn’t realize they sell traps for this purpose. At first, I did the natural thing of tossing food, cleaning out the pantry, wiped down and disinfected every single surface, including inside cabinets. I also ended up dumping around 10-15 pounds in nuts, outside…clear on the other end of the property (the wild squirrels loved that obviously).I purchased these traps and was not only grateful that someone invented such a thing, but that they work! As others have stated, it is a swarm when they’re first put up, ugh those little suckers hide and come out in droves when these are opened! Within hours a few dozen had met their death on the glue. However, after a few weeks, I went SEVEN days with not a single moth, then….oh lord….then they came back in droves! I put fresh ones up, and again those were getting filled within hours. The only difference (for me) is after the first infestation, I had taken all the new boxed/bagged food and placed them in canisters (glass or plastic with screw on lids), so I didn’t need to toss food again.**A few tips to do along with using the traps:Make sure to clean out (ALL) your cabinets, wipe them down with disinfectant, I followed this with a mixture of vinegar, water, and lavender essential oil (supposed to be repugnant to moths).Any food not in a jar or can, put into a plastic (with screw on lid) or glass container, this can get expensive, I lucked out searching the local thrift stores for the glass containers.Empty your vacuum (or shop-vac) outside (or toss your vacuum bag) in your trashcan, those suckers can live inside and they’re excellent escape artists!Any food like bagged nuts that you bring home, toss them in your freezer for four days, this is supposed to kill any larva that you may bring home on the food. Larva can also come into your home via pet food, keep it stored in a sealed container. I also only order nuts from (nuts.com) which ships items in sealed thick resealable plastic bags, and I keep those exclusively in the fridge.I have always kept sugar and flour in the fridge, advice passed down from my grandmother, hadn’t realized the purpose of this, until the battle with the moths began. Thankfully, I didn’t have to toss those staples, but otherwise my entire baking cabinet was emptied, and everything tossed, sadly. As long as there is little to no food source and traps, they should disappear, but stay vigilant, I had a momentary lapse and now I’m back at square one. Thankfully, I’m remodeling the kitchen, so hopefully any remaining deeply hidden eggs will be killed during this remodel.**I used 4 traps at first, one near the area where I noticed them in the kitchen, one in the pantry (it's a walk-in type), one in the hallway, and one in the squirrel's bedroom. The second time around, I placed an additional one in the kitchen (it's 16x20) on the other side, and an additional one in the family room. I also kill any live moth and toss the tissue in the toilet.

Works great at a better price
Great at catching the incredibly annoying and destructive moths that come from the grocery store and quickly get into everything. When I need to order again I will buy this brand again.Best priced trap I found. So simple and convenient to use.

These work
A few months ago we bought a house that had an existing pantry moth infestation. We ordered these and it was amazing to watch. Just opening the traps and removing the plastic cover released chemicals that started attracting moths. Within minutes, moths were flying all over our kitchen, attracted by the pheromones. After 8 days, all of our traps were effectively full of dead moths. We ordered a second set. When we opened those, instead of the kitchen being filled we moths, only half a dozen to a dozen moths came out into the open. After another 8 days, a couple of the traps were full and the remainder had a few dead moths stuck to them. We ordered a third set. When we opened those, no new moths flew out into the open. But with the course of 24 hours, the traps started to catch a few more moths.I have no doubt that in a few more months, our home will be moth free.As others have mentioned, it's a good idea to go through all your open grains and flours and meals. Either throw them out or sift them to make sure there are no larvae. That will expedite the process of eradicating the moths from your home.It takes a while but eventually you will be rid of your moths.

They Work!
I had a terrible pantry moth invasion from some infested instant oatmeal.I threw away the food that appeared to have the webbing in it, as well as any boxes that looked like they might as well. I cleaned out my pantry and vacuumed it. I spread a thin layer of Diatomaceous Earth on all the shelves and applied it where I could in the tongue-and-groove walls of my pantry as well. (The only downside of living in a cabin!)After all this, I set up two traps in my coat closet-sized pantry. Within a few days I caught about a dozen moths. Since that time I haven't had another issue. I recently set up two clean traps as it had been approximately 8 weeks. No more pantry moths! For these to work effectively and to wipe out an infestation - throw away all affected food. Clean your pantry or cupboard well. Use these traps as directed. They really work!

Good traps
These work super well. We didn’t have a full infestation (never found larva) but there were tons of moths and these traps got all of them

Good product
This is a good product, very effective and does the job. Bought once here and then Ebay. Price is a bit higher for Guarm and decided to go with Dr. Killigan's which also had good reviews. No comparison. Guarm is the best. Don't buy Killigians. So now I wasted my money trying to save money. Better to spend more.My problem was finally resolved after 2 months of actively trying to eliminate the moth problem. Had to spend a lot more money redoing my cabinets, cleaning, painting etc. I saw one trapped in the Guarm after not seeing any after 5 days. The cold weather helps. But I know what to look for. Check all the grain items from the supermarkets. Bought brown rice and thought I didn't have any even when I transferred into a jar. Then I saw a death moth in the jar a couple of weeks later and threw it out. I also put Guarm in the linen closet which to my surprise trapped a few moths too. I will probably buy Guarm again next summer cause I'm sure they might make another appearance.
