This is the second extension cable that I purchased. I found it difficult to detach my Ethernet cable from my laptop. The clip on the extension detaches from the laptop much more easily.I leave the extension attached to Ethernet cable.The attachment problem is likely the fault of the Ethernet cable; the extension solves it.

OK price, great little pigtail
OK price, great little pigtail to save your main ethernet port from wear. Most ports are not meant for daily plug-in/ removal of ethernet cable, and this takes the wear instead of the one attached to your motherboard, NIC, or laptop. Inexpensive way to preserve integrity of the main ethernet port.

Wires are not twisted internally.
The internal wires are not twisted pair... they are straight no twist. Cat 5 standard needs twisted pairs for proper functionality.
