An excellent, convenient, multi-functional vac for small spaces and hard floors
This is the third Ergorapido 2-in-1 model I have owned, and I'm sold on this product line. For a small, two-level house with wood floors and minimal carpet, the vacuum performs exceptionally well. It's maneuverable and lightweight in upright mode, and the detachable handheld vacuum makes spot cleaning quick and easy. It cannot perform as well as larger, plug-in vacs on carpet, but its portability is a worthwhile tradeoff. Overall, I recommend this product highly to anyone with similar household needs. Here are a few observations on this latest model compared to the previous model we owned:Pro: Better maneuverability. This was never a problem before, but the new model has a more flexible vacuum head.Pro: The free-standing feature is great. The old model was a pain, since it had to be leaned against a wall or table, which never worked well.Pro: The suction and run time continues to impress. The canister size is not large, but it's easy to empty.Con: (and I almost docked a star for this one): The old model came with a wall mount charger, which made it quick and easy to put the vac away and have it start charging. The new model has to be manually plugged in after each use. In some ways this is a minor issue, but compared to the wall mount its cumbersome and frustrating, making the vac less handy.Con: I miss the light, but that's my own fault for not ordering the next model up.

You know it's a good vacuum when your toddler runs around the house quoting you by saying " I love our new vacuum". I bought this because our Dyson (which has sadly bit the dust) was just to bulky and heavy to keep moving around our house which is on three levels. With a toddler, there is a lot of messes to clean up. We have a dust buster but it seems that nobody could ever find the charger so it was never ready to go when we needed a quick pick up of crumbs. I wanted something that was cordless and rechargeable that I could easily access to be able to combat all the small messes we encounter through out the day. This has more than exceeded my expectations. I vacuum several times a day. It's so easy to grab it after each meal and sweep under where we ate. Yes, sometimes the adults make a bigger mess than the toddler! I really love that I can get some hard to reach areas like under the counters and the furniture that the bigger vacuum can't do. I've never had a problem with the battery going quickly but we do charge it frequently. It's also not very loud which is really good if you have a toddler that is afraid of vacuums and loud noises.

Great Power - Poor Design
This model is a replacement for an older model that I had for 4 years. The previous model was a true workhorse but after 4 years it just would not hold a charge any longer. This it was a no brainer to order this model as its the newer version of what I had. The pluses: its strong and powerful on BOTH floors and carpet...its maneuverability is excellent...the color is a nice shade of blue. The minuses: there is no charging base, which I knew, but I find myself lifting this up and immediately start using it, forgetting that it is still plugged in to the wall, as I said I knew this when buying it, but after 4 years of the previous one I find it a hassle to bend down to connect and bend down to reconnect it....I also feel like its going to tip over.....also, there is no light at the base, which I loved as I did not need to turn on the lights to use it, now I do....one attachment now sticks to the handle which is also a pain in the neck. Overall I do like this version for its power but do not like its design.Updated 1/3/17: I now hate it. After letting it stand up for a brief moment while I went to the loo, I heard a crash and it fell over on my coffee table, knocking over a cup of coffee ruining the area rug underneath. Buyer beware as its NOT stable. I repeat it is NOT stable. I can live without the light BUT it needs a stand. The hassle now of spending money on bubble wrap and a box and packing it and shipping it back is not worth it. I will leave it out on the street as junk.
