NatureMillsPalmyra Palm Jaggery - 1.5 lb (680g), Powdered Natural Palm Sugar

The smell and taste of this palm jaggery is soo authentic and packaged well so you can use them easily to mix with drinks. We use it for Indian coffee and tea everyday. We use it for kid's drink as well. Palm jaggery has great health benefit over white sugar. This is so famous in south India but we are happy to get it from US now as well. One caution we learned was that we shouldn't use any palm jaggery while boiling with milk coffee or tea(need to add this after boiling) as it make the milk get hard and split.

A friend brought me some jaggery from Sri Lanka, it was shaped like a flattened ball, wrapped in banana leaves. So delicious but kind of hard to use, you had to chip pieces off. So when I saw this powdered form of jaggery, I thought it would be a lot easier to use.Unfortunately, whatever process they use to turn the jaggery into a powder ruins the flavor. It tastes a little bit burnt and there is hardly any sweetness.Too bad it is not returnable.

I was looking for a healthy low glycemic sugar substitute that I could carry with me while traveling. This sugar has a molasses type flavor which is good in my opinion. It did take awhile to dissolve in cold coconut milk; however, next time I will warm the milk first.

This Palmyra Palm jaggery taste very good. The taste is very sweet and rich. It definitely tastes different from sugar cane jaggery, but the taste is nice in a different way. I take a liitle bit of it after a big meal for better digestion or in general I take it as a snack. I would recommend this palm jaggery.

Bad product. Tastes burnt, bitter with a bad after taste. Unusable.

Great product and excellent quality. The taste and flavor were authentic, it takes me back to childhood days. Where my mom used to makes sweets out of it. It’s very healthy sweetener available in market. Definitely recommend it.

I am using Palm sugar from my childhood days and this product is 100% natural and Quality is awesome. Most importantly this sugar is the lowest GI comes with healthy minerals.
