KOHLER 9132-BN Round Shower Drain, Gasket Included, Designed to be Installed on Any Shower Receptor, Vibrant Brushed Nickel

I ordered this through Amazon’s open box and saved a lot compared to the regular price. Contractors installed last week and works like a charm. Very happy with the quality of this drain and good looks! It is definitely a universal drain and should fit a shower liner on the right or left hand side that is circular. It is very well constructed, you would be hard-pressed to find a similar one at a better price

With our bathroom remodel we purchased a Kohler enamel shower base in white but needed a shower drain cover assembly. This Kohler brushed nickel drain for the shower matches all the fixtures in the bathroom. It has a nice finish and is very heavy. It seems to be made very well. The plumber said it was easy to install. We are pleased with this purchase and would recommend this product to others.

A very nice product, I bought the satin nickel finish. It's now installed in our new frameless shower, but I haven't used it yet (I'll update my review later). It is on the pricey side, but I think well worth it.

Good product. I used a 2" PVC coupling to set the gasket in place.

As other reviewers have said, this is a very nice, well-built drain assembly and I would not hesitate to recommend it based on quality alone. In my case, however, it did not fully seat down into the depression in my DreamLine Slimline shower base. Note that I am not talking about the size of the hole in the shower base but the diameter of the recessed depression into which the drain seats. The external diameter of the flange on this product is 4-3/8 inches (4.38 inches as listed in the specs). Most other drain assemblies, like the Oatey 42150, have an external diameter of only 4-1/8 inches. I ended up returning this and buying the Oatey drain instead and it fits perfectly into my shower base. This may not be an issue depending on the brand and design of your shower base, but be sure to check the dimensions before you order.

Looks great in the shower and is an excellent quality. It is true that the rubber gasket is a tight fit and the contractors struggled a bit getting it on. But once in place it will last forever.

This is a high quality drain and I feel very comfortable about how it was manufactured. This thing will last a long time!!

Excellent product but, the installation that requires a ring to be squeezed between the PVC and the internal wall of the drain is extremely complicated. A twisted in approach would have been way easier. As a suggestion, make sure your pipe is plomb otherwise, it is almost impossible to put the ring around.
