Vermin Alert - Bluetooth 4.0 Wireless

I set this up a little while ago, but still confused about the functionality.Also, I purchased this thinking that this was a RAT trap, since it said "vermin" on it, and I couldn't tell from the pictures, and there were no dimensions. I've submitted a request to Amazon to update the product listing to indicate that this is a MOUSETRAP and not a RAT TRAP (even though I have purchased traps that look like this at Home Depot, the size was not evident from the Amazon listing). However, if you go to the company's website—which I did after the product arrived and I was trying to find instructions—it says, "Electronic sensor can be removed and added to similar style traps for rats." Something about you have to change the accelerometer and choose the garage door opener option, which will then allow you to choose the VerminAlert.I have located information on the BLE Home website showing that you can download their app from the iTunes Store; it's called "BlueSense," but it would be really nice if this information was provided in the product listing. The photos don't show you the name of the App because where you might expect the app name it shows the name of the sensor. There is also a quick-start guide, but I still have some questions. Like you can add an email address for alerts, but I've tripped my sensor several times, and no email alert has been sent. I'm not sure if another piece of equipment is required to add this functionality?I've also noticed that it seems to only show something's tripped if your phone is open and the app is running. Otherwise, I don't see any notification that it's tripped. I would expect a notification when I wake my phone from sleep, or the ability to go through a history on the sensor and see when it might have tripped. We have problems with high ceilings and having to check almost daily for tripped traps, which requires dragging a ladder around the house. It would be awesome if this could notify me WHEN a trap is tripped (within an hour or so) and WHICH trap was tripped.Also, their site has conflicting information...it says "Minimum System requirements: iOS 7," but six lines earlier it says "supports iPhone iOS 8 and will soon work with Android Smart Phones." The nice quick-start guide also mentiones iOS 7. So I'm assuming it supports iOS 8, and I'll update my review if everything installs correctly. I also got out a ruler and measured the unit...on their website they're using millimeters. For the American market, here's the size info: height is about 2-1/4", and the length is about 4-1/4", and width about 2".
