Well made precision machinery.
My Milwaukee Fuel hammer drill (2804-20) had a bad chuck wobble, as many of them do these days. Bizarre they'll make a high quality drill, then ruin it with a cheap Chinese chuck. Got a new chuck from Milwaukee on warranty, and it did the same thing. So, on the advice of a friend, I got this chuck and installed it. WOW! Everything I put in it rotates absolutely dead-center, with zero wobble. Beautiful.Just remember, the screw down inside the chuck is reverse threaded.

No more bit slipping!
This chuck works great. As an industrial electrician, I drill through 1/8" stainless steel panels and 1/4" steel square stock daily. My Milwaukee drill is 2 years old and the chuck got really worn out. I decided to try this chuck on the recommendation of a coworker. My drill works better than new. No slippage at all!

Does not fit my drill
I bought this chuck to replace and upgrade the one on my Milwaukee 2601-20. Does not fit at all. This chuck is apparently designed for drills with a bigger shaft. This one is way too big for my drill. I’ll be returning it.

Fits Ridgid R87012 Sub Compact Drill
Fits Ridgid R87012 Sub Compact Drill. Exact same dimensions as stock chuck. The spinning ring at the front of the chuck is a really nice feature.

Getting the old chuck off sucked but the new one fit perfectly will see how it holds up but very satisfied right now

Milwaukee should be embarrassed about their factory chuck
I recently bought a new Milwaukee M18 hammer drill 2804-20 I believe is the model. It’s powerful but not perfect. The worst issue with it is the amount of wobble with longer bits, to the point it can affect diameter of holes being drilled for concrete fasteners.I tried to inquire with Milwaukee about making a warranty claim but after doing some research I instead elected to put on this Rohm German made replacement.Installation was pretty easy, I heated the chuck retaining screw for 30 seconds with a soldering iron and the backed it off with my large T40 driver. It’s a left hand thread screw so you need to turn it right to loosen. If you don’t heat it first or turn it the wrong way you might break or strip the bolt. Also make sure to put the tool on speed 1 and on the drilling position. After that just put something in the jaws and turn left to remove the chuck and put this guy on.So much better than the factory chuck. Put in my 12” 7/8 masonry bit and it spins beautifully. Some brands use these on their higher end tools, so should Milwaukee.
