It works great! It is not a wall charger type battery pack. It is a gradual battery charger, that if left to charge for an hour, it will give you the extra juice you need to finish the day with your phone. The cover looks great! Great finish in red. Definitely worth buying for those who still have their Samsung Galaxy S5.

Bought this for my husband and he doesn’t stop talking about how he loves it. The color is a deep maroonish red, beautiful and charging the phone charges the case so the batter lasts a LOOOOOOONG time. Fits perfectly and I would recommend this to anyone, man or woman.

Love the colour!!! It is came, maybe, in too much packaging. However, undamaged. the item was as described. and It works great. I bought it for my husband who was constantly complaining that his phone battery has died throughout the day. Also, he kept forgetting to take the power bank that I had bought him. He loves it. Even though he forgets that it is not just case, but also an extra battery as well. He like the fact that it doubles as a protection case for the phone. Would have loved if it came also with a screen protector.

Having two Galaxy S5's (one for work, another for personal use), I already had a black Mophie Juice Pack for my personal phone. I needed another color case to help distinguish these phones apart from one another. I was weary about how the red case might scuff as I work in some pretty extreme environments. It's holding up well, and even with some drops outdoors it remains scuff free. It does add a tiny bit of weight and girth to your phone (but I think it helps in the overall ability to hold the phone. As I work in some remote locations, adding extended life to the phone REALLY comes in handy. Charging with the phone attached, or not, it is quick to charge and always ready.

Update: YOU'VE BEEN WARNED - I've had MANY of these and this product is crap. Why have I had many? Because I've bought 4 and have had 3 replaced under warranty because they all have the same issue. They stop accepting a charge at which point they are a brick. This final one, I won't even bother with, but will throw away. To clarify my perspective, I worked in the IT industry for 15 years. I've seen my share of products. This one seems promising, but it's the perfect example of a product that has higher reviews on Amazon than it should because it works like a dream for a certain time period, long enough for someone to be fooled and leave a good review. This middle finger is just for all you f'rs who work at Mophie! ;)================================================I like these, but the jury is still out. I've owned two brand new ones and they've both failed. Basically, they stop accepting a charge. Otherwise, I love them. I shipped them off for replacements and Mophie seems to want to replace them for me. We'll see if I get replacements and how the new ones work.

All Mophie cases have a lifespan of about 6-9 months. I've been through 2 of them so far. My Samsung Galaxy S5 will not hold a charge anymore or turn on unless it remains plugged in 24-7, so this is the next best option. This now serves as the battery for my phone. For $9, I'll go with this if it keeps me from having to spend money to upgrade to a new phone, wasting an entire afternoon at Verizon, plus losing all my apps and settings and who knows what else. I'll keep buying these as long as they remain available and affordable. This purchase is about convenience and extending the life of my S5. $9 is doable for me. Easy to put on my phone, plus acts as a nice sort of outer shield to protect it.

Works as advertised with no problems. The only negative is the size and weight. I'd like to have something smaller and lighter, even at the expense of battery power - just for true emergencies.

It's a Mophie, what else can you say? I don't like the high price but it kept the waterproof feature of the Galaxy S5 which was primary on my priority list. None of the other rated charging cases did that. Charged the S5 from 30% in less than 90 minutes on first go 'round. It's used only when I know I won't be near a charger for the day. I love the charge level LEDs and the switching system. Charge through is also a great feature. Others comment on the reduced volume of the speaker but that hasn't been an issue for me; probably a variable on listening location. Since it's new I can't speak to longevity/reliability but the research I did before deciding on this proved worthwhile.Update: After almost a year I remain very happy with this product. Now that the prices are going down as the S6 gains ground it's a good time to buy.

Was received in perfect condition. The packaging was pretty neat too. I've used many a charging phone case in the past and have not found one as sturdy and as efficient as this one. It even charges the phone without taking it out of the case. Awesome! Thank you for a solid product Mophie! :D

The battery case recharges up about 80-85% once I turn it on as I usually start charging when my phone is at 5%. The case does add some bulk and weight but very well designed and materially made. Buttons are good, and as the sound redirection to the two bottom outlets are a bit muffled. Other recommendations is the UNU case. Search and read about it. Totally different concept.
