This is my all time favorite spice and I am so glad Amazon has it.

This is my first Toban Djan purchase. I do not know how authentic it is, but I like it. I am using it for almost everything now when I want to make the dish hot and spicy.

Organic, no food additive Doubanjiang, thank you Amazon.

This is not quite as good as Doubanjiang from Sichuan but it does not contain wheat ingredients. This jar is a much better value than the tiny 4 oz. ones.

Initially I was pleased to find this in a large size jar. It only took a couple times of using the product to realize that this is not the same thing that I’ve been buying from local Japanese grocery for years.This product is chunky, product from Japan is smooth. This product has pieces of white colored solid things in it, maybe onions, I don’t know.The few times I used it I always wound up with significant stomach issues.It’s fake! Probably from China. Says right there on the jar”product of Japan “ it’s not the real thing.

My kids always put this in ramen, it's so delicious!
