Better than expected!
This little turntable is great, so much fun and I’m excited to see so many more records just come out. I’m a huge fan of Johnny Cash, and we had to have it, and now I see there are other titles from Disney, many from Sun Records and lots of Jack White and Charlie Brown’s Christmas! We hooked it up to our larger stereo system, and it works great. We’ve also used the cord which is included to hook it up to a portable speaker, which also makes the sound richer and much louder than the tiny speaker in the turntable. Imagine the difference between listening to music through your phone speaker or playing your phone through a Bluetooth speaker, and you get the idea. It runs off USB power or batteries, and I plugged ours in for most of its use. It does come with a “mini-USB” cord if you want to power it off USB. Everyone who sees this is amazed by how small it is, but absolutely a completely functional turntable, which looks like a shrunken version of a regular turntable. I love it!

Tiny turntable that packs a big punch!!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my eye on these since Record Store Day earlier this year, and I finally bought one, and I love it. My local record store has these in stock occasionally, and the records seems to be pretty hot commodities. I have collected about a dozen titles so far, and according to my local store, there are plans for many more. The Thirdman release with Jack White is my favorite. The turntable itself doesn’t come with the records. I believe they did one with a Foo Fighters record on Record Store Day, but that seems to have sold-out. Mine arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I had it playing in about two minutes after unpacking. It runs on 4AA batteries, but also connects via mini-USB to just about anything for power. I ran it off my laptop at work, showing it off to some friends and co-workers. Here’s the funny thing, it’s comically small. Tiny even. It only plays 3” records, but it’s built like a serious turntable. It’s pretty obvious they were going after the looks of a Technics 1200, and they nailed it. I never realized it until I bought it, but it has an Audio-Technica cartridge, which alone usually costs fifteen to twenty dollars. It has belt drive and pitch control for plus and minus about 15% or so. Everything is totally manual, but I can’t imagine trying to make an automatic arm this size. It came with the cords I needed to both hook it in my portable speaker and home system and will connect with an Aux or RCA input jack. When you listen to these records through the built-in tiny speaker, you really don’t get much, and it does sound like a toy. When you hook it up to your home system or quality speaker, it shines. Literally, I’ve had people listen in amazement. It’s vinyl, and it sounds like vinyl. My only complaint is the motor should be quieter, as there is a tiny hum you can hear when turning it on. I don’t hear it through the amp or speaker, but it’s there. The turntable will surprise you to the upside if you connect it to a decent system. If you are looking for an audiophile experience, it’s not that. But it’s fun, cool, and not expensive. I have a release from Epitaph Records that has the Interrupters and Rancid, that really do sound amazing. I’ve heard the songs are limited to about three minutes, and they are all one-sided from what I can tell. I hope these stick-around awhile, as the discs are great to collect and have all come with a poster or some type of artwork by the artist. I keep my Mini next to my Technics unit at home and it’s fun to show off. I’d buy it again, and I’ll likely be giving a few of them for Christmas presents this year.

Product damaged
Upon arrival, the outer box was sealed but once opened, the needle was broken and the 3” record it came with was opened.
