It is stainless steel wire, not copper. "Permanently colored wire" on the label is Artistic Wire's marketing slogan. They put this on all packaging and labels irregardless of the actual wire. This wire has a half hard temper.I'm not sure what a "hot wire foam c" is so am unable to answer that part.

I need to make jump rings for a 1.5mm chain. Would this wire work for that?

This wire is very soft, almost as flexible as string. It is great for coils, weaves, etc., and while I have never made chains, I can't see wire this fine and flexible making a sturdy chain out of rings? But maybe I'm imagining the wrong thing ? :p Try 20 or 22g? :)

How much weight can this wire hold?

I use it for crochet jewerly- so it may be stronger than use it as a single wire

Can this wire be magnetized?

Stainless steel is seldom magnetic. It isn't silver plated copper but a combination of steel and nickel. I cut a piece off my spool and put it on my refrigerator with a magnet for several days - it shows no sign of being magnetized. I have magnetized pliers by putting them near a magnet. So, to answer your question - No, I don't think the wire can be magnetized.

Fantastic. I use this extra thin wire to wire wrap coils along a thicker wire. It works well and doesn’t hurt or slice my fingers. Easily moldable but does crimp if you’re not careful. I like that I can easily pull it like string to get it tight! I recommend
