Great product...just as described!
Great product...super ez to assemble, looks just as pictured. I use a 24x35 piece of Styrofoam (thin) backing I got from work and just leave that set up...and then tape targets to it. I think I cut the vertical pieces to 5'6"ish...so it's kind of tall...but it's also nice that way because you can shoot straight ahead like it would be a bad guy...as opposed to always shooting down like at a for sale sign like a lot of the guys there use. The only challenge...and it's not the target's fault...is that it will blow over when it's windy due to the high center of gravity I have on mine. What we did was just move the physical target down to the bottom and that solved it last trip. But in the future...a little bag of sand, salt, whatever on that bottom middle crossbar would stop it from blowing over. Or you could stake it down, so forth. Of course that's even more stuff to haul to the range! But it's awesome...thanks guys! Shipping was a little longer that I would have liked...I would suggest ordering for the actual company as when I called them to talk about the longer than anticipated delivery...the guy who answered said they get them out quick and so that's the only thing I would change...is I would order it straight from CTK Precision in Wisconsin. I also live in Ohio...so that would have been the way to go in hindsight.

Absolute Best for the Money
The guy who designed this should bet an award. Simple, but very well machined and welded. Very effective. Very Strong. Yet compact to carry in your vehicle. Easy set up. Get some targets, a staple gun, and a sandbag (from Amazon = ABCCANOPY Sandbag Photography Weight Bags), and you are good to go!

Great target stand
Like to shot and there are public shooting ranges around me but some are in poor condition. Hard to place a target and the like. Well this P3 stand is just right it breaks down and the 1x3 wood I use is very cheap and I carry a couple lengths with me in case I destroy an up right. Breaks down to a few pieces and can be carried very easily. A little pricy but I finally found the perfect target holder for all my firearms also a small sandbag to hold it in place when the wind picks up.

This stand is awesome/compact
I wanted a stand that I could store in a very small space that was versatile and not going to damage anything with sharp edges, etc. First off people talk about the wind blowing their portable stands over. I live in Northern Nevada. Do you want to talk winds...we are considered the "glider capital" of the U.S. The legs of this stand actually dig into the soil so easily that the base will sit flush to the ground. If the wind is strong enough to blow it over, I set up the metal targets that I bought here at Amazon. Tent stakes would help, but why not wait for a calm morning or another day? Also, look at my uprights. I was able to buy 2-liter brackets and clay holders (look close, I didn't have any clays for the picture) right here at Amazon that fit perfectly. The wood is solid oak. I don't let beginners shoot at my stand, but they are easy to replace if I had to. I made the stand a takedown so it would fit anywhere I put the hardware box. It took a little engineering to make the metal support brackets. They are all the same, therefore interchangeable. The doll heads are from my wife's "teaching" hair salon. When they get done cutting/learning on these, most salons throw them away. Just ask at your local beauty school. Tannerite canisters are legal in all 50 so... Some people thought it was weird, and were even vocal about it until they saw one explode. Then it was like being on a whale-watching boat when the first whale breached!! Remember in training, all failure drills include a headshot. Send me an email if you have any questions. 5++++

Well built but should include stakes for wind
It is a well built and breaks down easily. If you want to skip the instructions just add 7” to the width of your target so you can cut the bottom piece to the right dimensions. It is great when there is no wind but you really need to weigh it down with a bag of lead shot if there is even a hint of wind.I originally cut this to match the target size but I found that my friends were hitting the wood uprights too often. I went to Home Depot and bought a few medium boxes. I cut them in half to make a backer so the target is not so close to the wood. Problem solved.

Very versatile stand
Very nice stand. You can fully control the width and the height to whatever you want. 2 pieces of 2x1 is super cheap and all you need to do is cut 1 width and 2 height pieces. You don't have to buy screws or bolts and try to stabilize it, the hardware that comes with it is very well thought out and simple. Tears down into about the same space as a gun. I'll probably get more!

a 1 x 2 furring strip is really 1 & 1/2 x 1 inch...
I wasn't smart enough to realize that when the instructions said to use 1 x 2 inch furring strips, they really meant 1 x 1&1/2 inch. Since I'd never heard of a "furring strip" before I didn't buy the correct size the first time. In any event, the outdoor rifle range at my club has mounts for targets at 100 and 200 yards only, the pistol range has no mounts at all. I've been using cardboard boxes until now. I saw all the "do it yourself" target stands made of either PVC pipe or lumber but this looked simple and, all things considered, the price was fine. It's very easy to bring along, a breeze to set up, and should I ever destroy the wood uprights they are cheap and easy to replace. Very satisfied, would recommend to a friend.

Great base that allows flexibility with regard to target height
I love the target stand. I use 2 slightly different sized targets, so I just cut 2 different length pieces for the bottom to set the width of the stand, and then cut whatever length boards I want for height. The only issue I have right now is one of the people that I allowed to use my target stand managed to hit one of the base pieces with a round, and the metal has dimpled in preventing me from removing the board. I'm not sure yet if I can pop out the dimple or if I'll have to drill it to allow me to once again change boards as needed.
