Beautiful Tree
This is an awesome tree stand. My kids, and grandkids, have ornaments that I have collected for them over the years. I want every one of them on my tree! But, the tree looks too crowded. With a rotating tree I can put all of my special ornaments on the tree and see all of them as well. I love that it rotates, it's a different view every minute. I find myself staring at the tree as it rotates, admiring everything on it. Here are some practical aspects that I thought of. - Kids ages 2-17 decorated my tree, with it rotating! It was slow enough for the kids to hook the ornaments, but it was a fast enough pace to make sure they spread them out! It actually saved me a lot of time rearranging them (which always has to be done after little ones decorate it ;) - It was easier to put the lights on! Imagine that! We didn't have to walk around the tree, we were able to stay in one place and turn the rotating on and off to move the tree around. Having my tree backed into a corner made this so helpful. We didn't have to bump into the walls, climb over the couches, or throw the lights around for another person to catch. - My 8 year old fake tree fit in the stand without any problems, plus it came with two other adapters for different sized poles. It brings a new kind of joy to the tree, I love it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't always rotate smoothly. It catches sometimes, not dramaticly, but noticibly. I don't want to take everything down in the middle of the Christmas season, so it's something I will deal with after the holidays.

It handles BIGGER TREES THAN ADVERTISED! :-)
I use artificial trees, and several years ago I bought a new one from Balsam Hill -- gorgeous. Except that the trunk diameter was 1 1/2" rather than the standard 1" or 1 1/4". And Balsam Hill does NOT make a rotating stand for their new trees! So I looked and looked and found this CMI stand on eBay, saying it took up to 1 3/4" trunks. I bought one and sure enough, it had an insert for 1 3/4". All I needed to do now was buy a pipe with an ID of 1 1/2" and an OD of 1 3/4" and I'd be set! Which I was until the stand wore out. So I went to Amazon and found they now sell the CMI stands yea! Except the description now says 1" or 1 1/4" only -- what's up with that? Anyway, I ordered the stand and it arrived today, and I was delighted to find FOUR inserts, handling 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/4" AND 1 1/2"! So I don't even need the pipe! I can't guarantee that every stand comes with all four inserts, but my guess is that they do -- which means the stand is MUCH BETTER than advertised! And I wanted to publicize this fact to anybody looking for a larger capacity rotating stand! I am completely sold on this stand -- six stars! :-)

Rotating Christmas tree stand
This stand was to replace a plastic one that I had for twelve years. I like this one much better. It is very sturdy and I am no longer afraid that my Grandchildren will somehow topple the tree over. The design is beautiful and looks very nice under my tree. I laid my tree skirt on the floor and set the stand on top of it instead of wrapping the stand with the skirt. I think you can set it up either way you like, but I didn't want to hid the detail work. The stand will fit any tree and comes with sizers that are easy to change out. The only thing I would have like different would be for the plug to switch length to be longer. My wall plugs are 12" from the floor and the switch is only about 8" from the end of the plug, however, once I plugged in a remote control it now sits on the floor.

Pooped out during our 4th Christmas season
We've had a revolving Christmas tree for years but last year we got a taller tree (9') and the old stand wouldn't fit the wider trunk. This one is perfect - it has 3 different sized inserts to accomodate any size trunk. Easy setup - it is stable and looks great. Great find!!May 11, 2017 Unfortunately I must add that this past Christmas the stand stopped revolving. Although the lights stayed on the primary function (rotating the tree) suddenly stopped after only 4 years of use. Disappointed to say the least as this one is not cheap!

looks good and sturdy but It is not christmas yet so ...
looks good and sturdy but It is not christmas yet so I don't know how well it will work. I bought a cheaper one last year and after 2 days with the tree on board it stopped working. maybe it worked for 4 hrs total. This one cost 4 times as much and I am hoping it will last a lot longer!

No heavy duty stand! Don't buy!
Here's the issue I have. I bought the rotation stand based strictly on the fact that it said "heavy duty". However, the product I got is exactly like the regular one at half the price $119. False advertising. Making you think there's a heavy duty rotating tree stand when in fact its the same damn one. Cheats! They needs to take the "heavy duty" tree ad down. Its false advertising. By the way, I have bought this tree stand before +15 yrs ago at a store not online.

Love the motion on our crystal tree
Love the motion on our crystal tree. It shakes ever so slightly, hence the crystals shimmer and move. I'd given it 5 stars if it would have two switches. It has only one switch for the rotation, none for lights.

Problem Tree Stand From Day 1
This item was in perfect condition when received, after we placed the tree in it and did the trimming on the tree. We turned on the unit and it rotated aound in a jerking motion, rather the a smooth motion at some points it would hestiate then continue rotating around in jerking motion. After a few days it started to make a squealing sound. I feel for the cost of this product we got a lemon . I would not recomend this tree stand to anyone at this time. We were really disappointed in this product.
