AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz 2x512KB Socket AM2 Dual-Core CPU

I tend to keep my computers longer than most. I used this chip to update an old gamer machine from a bottom-of-the-line processor to one that was close to the best that my board supports. I'm running 64-bit Linux that has been optimized for AMD and it works fine. I'm not a gamer and I can't comment on its performance in that venue, but it works well in an 8-year-old machine for regular business and Internet functions. Actually, I'm using it right now and its been in service for me for over a year. What else do I need to say?

This cpu allowed me to increase my processing speed by 1/3 and I can keep my settings, I use a ssd drive and a graphics card and with mint 14 I have a computer that is a joy to use.

Needed a processor that will handle windows 7 and then 10. This was the lowest cost solution and it works perfectly.So I don't want to bore you with small talk - I matched it to an Asus motherboard and we are good to go!

The processor shipped in about 10 days from China to Florida. Had a single small scratch on the heat cap but otherwise perfect condition. Installed and working great.

This is a great processor for the price, it worked with my dell optiplex 740. Am2 socket worked fine, it said used but I mean like there was not a pin in there that looked used so I'm giving 10/10 here.

The item came from China but I got it within 10 days. It works great and was an inexpensive upgrade for my 5 year old computer.

Bought this for my desktop. An Inspiron 531. Made sure I had the latest bios downloaded from [...]. So far its working like a charm. My kids are playing WOW and Sims 3 with no problems.

I upgraded an old HP that had a lousy processor and it works very good. It really helped my speed.
