I have an older Echo SRM-225 (?) and it would no longer start. I assumed it was the carb and bought the Huztl kit and installed it, but no luck. After more time on youtube I realized the coil could was likely the issue, and bought this and it worked great. In the end I am using both happily and the cost was pretty low to get back up and running, but next time I will troubleshoot better instead of assuming. Proper use of a testing light would have identified the need for a coil and not the carb. So far so good!

I had sudden stoppage of my trimmer. Watched donnyboy73 you tube video. Determined it was the coil. Received and installed easy. Some other coils did not include boot. I wanted a easy bolt on. Started right up. Runs great. Would have been 50 bucks Oem from mower place.

Easy to install. Be sure to set the proper air gap for the coil . I liked the added length of the coil wire. The boot at the end of the wire is set at 90 degrees. Now my Echo PAS225 trimmer is back to work.

The fit was just right and as described. It installed quickly and supplied the spark I needed for my Echo SRM225. Now, let’s hope it lasts for some years like the original.

Fit perfectly. Just doesn’t work. I adjusted gap several times. Just to be sure I checked for spark on three different plugs. Checked for spark in the dark. Still no spark. Amazon is sending a replacement. I’ll revise review after I try the replacement.

Ok, this worked out well on my Mantis Tiller. When installing, just use a business card for the distance between the magnets on the flywheel to the magnets on the coil. This is important. Otherwise, fairly straightforward to install.

Received part next day. Fit is good as OEM, and blower cranked right up after replacing faulty factory ignition coil. Price is 1/2 of OEM Echo/Shindaiwa component, and as the factory installed one only lasted for 20-25 hours of operation, this couldn't be any worst - hopefully.
