Not great in any one way, but good at everything.
Spiffy! I took it to a window first off, and the light came on to show the solar panel works. I plugged it in via USB and it charged. I plugged my phone into it, and it charged it. So, as far as power goes, it does what it should. It doesn't have a big enough battery to charge my phone up all the way, but it could charge it up half way. The solar panel is small, and is more of a top off thing if you're going to use it a lot, but it works. Charged pretty quick via USB. I like it as a flashlight. If the power goes out it give off plenty of light, and it would be fine around a campsite. The lantern is what really impresses me. It's bright enough for a smaller tent -very good for a pup tent. It throws light down as well as to the sides, which is great when you want to hang it in a tent. You can adjust this feature. Collapse it more, and it throws more light down. Collapse it less, and it throws less light down. I like that! The accordion design allows you to arc it away from you, so it throws the light onto what you want to see, without shining in your eyes. That's my favorite part of it. I have a better flashlight. I have a better lantern. I have a better power bank. I have a better solar panel. I do not have anything that is all of these things though, and it's good at all of these things. Considering it's size and weight, I could not be happier. It will go on all of our camping trips.

Awesome, Versatile Light
Love this little lamp / flashlight. Firstly, this is obviously built from durable materials. It's pretty solid and well made, with the exception of one area... the white accordion flexible area. It "seems" like a solid material, but it's plastic and flexible. I would imagine this is the weakest point and be the one part that would quickly fail. But, let's hold off judgement for a bit and see how long it lasts.PROS:- Great top "flashlight" feature. So you really get a two-n-one light... a lamp and a flashlight.- Super bright. Wow, this thing is bright.- Love how you can angle it via the accordion part. It gives you ability to "focus" the light in various directions.- LOVE the dual charging ability.... solar and USB.CONS:- Nothing yet. But, I'm wondering how quickly the accordion section will fail. It "seems" to be the weak point, but it also still seems to be made of good material.

Rugged and lasts a long time
This lantern is great and heres why, I keep it in my bug out bag in the trunk of my car and only charge it once a year. It’s exposed to extreme heat and cold in my trunk (New York City) all year. Before the yearly charge I turn it on and let it run. This thing runs all night and all day, at least 24 hours. Before I recharge it and put it back in my trunk BOB for another year. And less than $20.

Long battery life, but lantern shade is cheap
The good: I previously bought a Goal Zero Crush Light Chroma Lantern, which was $25 vs. this lantern's $15. This lantern should shine longer than the Goal Zero lantern, and slightly brighter. If you primarily use this lantern as a solar-rechargeable flashlight, this will be a good one for you.The not-so-good: I will primarily be using this lantern as a lantern, for lighting a room. Again, the battery life is a selling point for this lantern. But the lantern "shade" is made of a less-flexible plastic than the one on the Goal Zero lantern. I predict it will begin cracking soon, with repeated expansions and collapses of the lantern. Also, the catch for opening the lantern is too stiff; it takes a lot of effort to open the lantern.

Excellent product!
Absolutely love this light. I use it at night to let my dogs out at 4am every morning since they insist that they have to do nature's call. The light is bright and I can control that brightness with my hand since I don't want to wake my granddaughter. I have had the light for 2 months now and charged it the day I got it and haven't charged it since. It lasts a long time. It is well made. The hand charging mechanism feels well made. I will definitely buy more of these.

Not really a viable phone charger
As a dynamo flashlight/lantern, it's bright, compact & awesome! The hanging handle seems pretty weak, and I think it'd been cool to include a strong magnet on the base, but these are mods you could do yourself..But the phone only charges when you're turning the dynamo handle, not very easy. Was expecting to be able to just plug it in. Still good in an emergency I guess.Great lantern, might get a couple more

Easy Store Emergency Lighting!
This is far better and more useful than keeping and using candles or kerosene lamps in an emergency. I just bought one to try it out, but I plan to order one or two at a time until I have emergency lighting in every room in my house. I will probably put one in each vehicle and even throw one in my fishing tackle box also. They collapse down small enough to fit in a drawer or other small storage space out of sight, and they provide light for a long time on a full charge. The added capability of being able to solar charge your cell phone is a huge plus also.

I haven't tried the solar charger but it should be fine, too
This unit does exactly what it says it will do and was exactly what I was looking for. We travel in countries that use 220-240 volts and most of them have no power outlets in the bathrooms. We wanted a nightlight in that room and this will work perfectly. I charged it and just got three 9-hour nights of light on low power on one charge. The charger cord is a Micro USB V8 which is the same that some phones use. I haven't tried the solar charger but it should be fine, too.The only question that I have is whether it can be charged via USB and 110 volts rather than through a USB plug on a computer.
