If you're not a patient tech nerd person pass on this one.
Thisis is a pretty fun little gadget. it's strongest attribute is the 4k footage you can capture with it. It's essentially an action camera for the outdoors lovers. However it is very fragile and finicky to operate and use. The youtube videos that I've watched does not touch base on how difficult it is to pilot the settings. I'd advise you to buy a brand new one if you must have one, the used ones are extremely stubborn and hard to navigate. If you are a patient tech person who is excited by a challenge of figuribg out how to maximize the use of tech toys then this is for you but if you're one who wants to dive right into using an action camera outside on vacation and on hikes or what not then I'd advise you spend a little more money on a camera that is a bit more sturdy and more simple and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT drop this thing, if you do, its dead.

DO NOT BUY AFTER MAY 2020!
The camera doesnt work. It freezes when trying to reformat the MicroSD card. I followed the directions exactly. I thought maybe it just needs a firmware update, so I went to the manufacturer's website and all the links to all the firmware updates lead to a 404 error page. On the FIMI manufacturer's YouTube channel there are a lot of comments asking for firmware link updates or fixes because the last firmware update crashed the system and the camera will not work at all. FIMI is not replying to any of the comments or helping any of the customers. From the reviews I saw on YouTube, there were all good reviews between 3-12 months ago, but it seems FIMI's customer service has come to an end. I'm returning this camera ASAP before the company goes out of business and I'm stuck with a brand new camera that will never have a firmware update and never work. I'm going to buy the DJI Osmo like I had originally planned. It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration if I had ignored the low-price temptation of this cheap knock off.

Best Bang For Your Money
A little hard to figure it out at first but the best way to learn how to use it is to check out all the YouTube videos on it. Day time outside video & photos were good enough for social media and prints.

Great gimbal cam
Great gimbal cam. I own a DJI osmo pocket and a snoppa Vmate. Functionality and stability this lands over the pocket. The pocket still leads in video quality. The Palm is definitely my choice for for run and gun shooting and has now found its home as my pocket camera.

Very disappointing!!
Very disappointed in this camera. The battery went bad only after a couple uses. The video quality was not very good. I would not recommend this camera. The DJI Osmo is superior and about the same price.

Some REALLY BAD annoyinces making your footage nearly useless.
I sooooo wanted to love this camera. My biggest issue...aside from initially the firmware issues with bad sound, and then the IOS app being glitchy to log onto is that the CLICKS that you get if you use the joystick and or want to turn the gimbal around to selfie mode or even straighten the gimbal camera.See, you need to click the power/record button 2 times to straighten the camera, or click it 3 times to go into selfie mode. If you are recording and want to go to selfie mode, you will hear those clicks in your recorded video, making the footage nearly too bad to use. If you are talking to your camera and try to use the joystick to pan or zoom, you will hear all of that in your recorded video. The only way I can see around it is trying to edit that noise out and that will not be a fun thing to attempt in between all you talking on camera. You can't have that noise in your videos for a $200ish camera. I've had this thing for a week and the longer I have it, the more issues I'm finding out about it......so unfortunately, it may have to go back.
