Dell AX510 Sound Bar - PC Multimedia Speakers - 10 Watt (Total) - Black

Item arrived without power source. Description did not mention that it needs one to be purchased separately. Probably can track it down but it will be uncertain, expensive and time consuming. I have no choice as to give one star pending resolution of this.

I was originally looking at getting the top selling Pebbles but upon reading those reviews I saw somebody recommend these and I pulled the trigger because they were available as an Amazon Warehouse deal costing less than the Pebbles. I've owned the Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speakers for several years and wasn't expecting much, but I'm very pleased with the sound quality and these fit my needs perfectly as I wanted speakers that would fit under a monitor.I've only encountered one issue with these which I quickly determined was a computer related problem and not a speaker problem. Some other reviewers have mentioned problems with static or a hissing noise and I was experiencing this too at first when the speakers were set to max volume and was not noticeable if the speaker volume was lowered quite a bit. I determined this was caused by interference coming from the USB port in my computer and was not a speaker problem.I was able to solve this issue by powering the speakers with an external USB power supply. I had an extra power supply laying around from an old Android phone and when I plugged these speakers into that power supply, the issue went away and I could turn these speakers up to 100% without a problem. I tested these speakers on a Dell Inspiron desktop and a Macbook Pro, and only the Dell had the USB port interference, so if you have this issue, try an external power supply!

The AS501 has better sound quality than the AX510. I bought two used AS501's from Front Source Technologies for the price of one new AX510. One came with broken clips on the back, so that it would not connect to my Dell monitor, but it was functioning otherwise. Front Source Technologies quickly sent a replacement though, and I want to note that the packaging was exceedingly good!The sound quality is good, but don't expect Bose-level reproduction. If you tend to need a LOT of volume, they will become tinny sooner than a 2.1 sound system.Make sure these models will fit onto your particular monitor by checking the back panel for two protruding blocks. New Dell monitors have another mechanism that fits a different sound bar.

I have a small at-home work desk and needed an external speaker for meetings and such. This was a perfect solution to add to my 19" Dell monitor. The sound is sufficient for work and music. It doesn't have the most in-depth sound, but for the price and what it is it works as expected. It plugs into the Dell monitor for power and into my docking station (Dell WD15) for sound. The speaker connected easily to my monitor. Make sure you check the monitor bracket to be sure this speaker fits. Initially I had a slight humming from the speaker but after I moved it to the audio out on the back of my dock it resolved. Definitely saves desk space and is better than using headphones all the time!

The review is for Dell V4J8D AE415. I notice that many of the review are mixed up with other Dell products.I got these for my wife for video conferencing but also because she loves listening to music and because she appreciate things that are aesthetically pleasing. For $70, they are great for the price. The sound is not audiophile quality. but is sufficient loud for a desktop speaker with accurate sound. The subwoofers in particular is subtle and did not exaggerate the bass. In fact, you can hear the bass but don't realize it's coming from the subwoofer. The sound is also particular spacious and have a surround like quality to it. The speaker also has an unusual round design that is different than the average computer speakers. Speaker has a headphone jack in case you want to switch out the speaker and listen to the headphones.On the downside, the speaker has wire going to the subwoofer and a power supply so there is a lot cables. The big flaw, which cause a star to be knocked off is that the speaker shutoff after a period of inactivity, which means the speaker has to be turned back on every morning.The vendor shipped the product on time and the package was packaged properly.Paul

If you have old Dell monitors thse are amazing slick speakers. Works very well. Attaches absolutely perfect behind the monitor and the power plugs right under the monitor input. Very clean setup. The right side volume clicks on and off. There are two headphone outs on the left side.For small speakers these pack a decent punch. I'm not talking about hi-fi stuff , just great for computer sounds , Netflix on desktop, Spotify, minecraft....I bouhbt three of these. One for each PC for each kid.

This soundbar is a great addition for my dell 2412m monitor. It takes no space on desk since it hangs on bottom of monitor. Power comes from monitor itself, so no power cable tangling issue. However, the soundbar turns off when screen is off. Sound quality is better than I expected. It lacks bass compare to my sennheiaer hd 555 headphone - not bad for small soundbar. Having two 3.5mm headphone jacks is a nice touch. I takes 1 star off because of power ineicator led. The led makes an irritatingly bright white strip in front of soundbar when it turns on. I put a black tape to cover it. It really distract my view when watching monitor.

This fits the monitor perfect and installs in seconds. It includes a power cable that you can plug directly into your Dell monitor for power, so no need to buy an external adapter unless your Dell monitor doesn't have that built in. Has two headphone connectors and uses the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack to plug into your computer. Volume on the right side. It all works and sounds great, looks great, uses virtually no space, and was up and running in seconds.

I ordered these speakers for my work desk, as my Dell monitors aren't equipped with speakers. While it was not as simple as plug in and go, I was able to get them up and running after a little bit of trial and error, and no additional equipment.The speakers come exactly as they appear on the site, and sound great. I haven't turned them up to their maximum volume, but they are easy to operate, take up a minimal amount of room and get the job done.

A little more punch than I thought, not bad overall. Best solution for these monitors without speakers. One note, seller took over 3 weeks to get it to me. Ontario to BC. Should take no longer that 5-6 days tops. Would be 4 stars otherwise. I do like that it connects without a power adaptor and it clicks into a spot that's made for it. I don't like the bundle of wire you have to tie back and tape somewhere out of the way. I mean how different are these monitors its compatible with, to have that much excess. I also don't like the big white distracting LED that is directly in the middle of it. Put tape over that too.
