A use-able tool
It works. easy to use.I wonder sometimes at how accurate it is. If you weigh objects of known mass you'll find it to be a little off, and the instructions are done by a Chinese person that never paid attention in class, so calibration would be difficult. but for me it is good enough to distinguish a rough weight of a coin so i know which issue it is (that is why i bought it principally - to figure out if my Indian coin was Bombay or Madras mint)

Design issue
At the bottom of the scales is where one inserts 2x AAA batteries. The plastic battery latch is not entirely flush with the base and protrudes lower than the feet of the scales, preventing the scales from sitting squarely on their rubber feet, causing the scales to wobble around like a table with uneven legs. As I couldn't be bothered to return an £8 product I simply removed the battery latch and used insulation tape to keep the batteries in place instead, which works well as the tape is thinner than the plastic latch. The scales are accurate now, giving a reading of within .01g of another expensive set of precision scales.

Excellent value 2 decimal place balance
These little balances are big on value and easy to use. They turned out to be more accurate than I expected and are a great low cost alternative to many standard two decimal place balances usually sourced. The only problem with them is that the weighing pan does not sit higher than the surround so it is easy to get interference from the surrounding plastic. However, used with care I would recommend them and would buy more when needed.

Good
Good for weighing the food out for my small dog. Needed clearer instructions with the product as it took me a while to figure it out. Not sure how accurate this is, but we'll see how my dog gets on with the weight loss.

awful
Absolutely awful. The instructions are written in very bad english. You really have to spend time trying to make sense of it when trying to calibrate the scales. The actual scales are not accurate and keeps fluctuating. It does not return to zero when weight is taken off. The tare button does not tare. Its really is a waste of money and i am angry about wasting money on garbage like this. Don't buy it trust me.

Good for the price
Finicky at the very low weight ranges. Good for the price though

Unreliable
It takes at least 3 attempts to switch on and when switched on, the scales do not stay at a precise weight and flutter up and down (this is with out anything being placed on the scales). If you persist and manage to weigh anything, the scale again flutters back and forth and does not fix at a certain measurement. On top of this, when compared to another measuring apparatus the scales are completely wrong and not very precise at all!

it was great took me ages to realise the hard black plastic ...
once i worked out it had a cover on it, it was great took me ages to realise the hard black plastic popped off. then i felt like a total twat. In my defence my partner and parents were baffled by it as well
