Reeds Vol 2: Applied Mechanics for Marine Engineers (Reeds Marine Engineering and Technology Series)

You'd think after all these years in print and this new edition, the authors would have corrected the errors. Unfortunately, they have not. And there are many. The authors also tend to jump steps assuming the student has A level maths already. For a book that was written by marine engineers for marine engineers this is a poor text book. I purchased this book a couple of years ago but have recently been using it page by page and I am very disappointed, not mention the frustration I have felt trying to self teach. What makes it worse is that I also bought the electronic version for my tablet and I can't send feedback as with other e-books.

Good product, as asked for and delivered in time

Handy book for those going through any type of engineering, or enjoy math and reading. Purchased as an additional study resource for stationary engineering and found it very helpful. Lots of great math examples that are well laid out. Easy to follow and well written. The lost star is because shipping was underwhelming. It took over 2 months to receive- and when I did get it - it arrived in an ordinary brown envelope which had been beaten up through the postal service.

I placed my order based on the product description that said this would be the 2019 revised version. What I received is a 6th edition 2015 version. I did not realize this until I started using it and found many typo errors that should have been removed in a revision, so I checked the publishing data in the book. Not happy!

Worked great for sublimental material for Power Engineering courses in Canada. Cheaper to buy here than elsewhere.
