Excellent Toy for Open-Ended Play
I bought this colour sorting toy for my 2 year old daughter who already had some colour sorting dinosaurs that she loved playing with. The little houses are sturdy and a nice size for little hands, the lids are very easy to put on and take off and the bases are stackable for creating multistorey houses. The people are good quality and are made of a softer plastic. There are 6 different colour families, each family has a woman, a man, a girl, a boy, a baby and a dog. My daughter enjoys recreating the households of our family members and us. I believe you can buy an extra set of the people separately if you need to make bigger families. There are so many different ways to play with this set. There is an instruction book that lists some play ideas but children will come up with plenty of their own.The colours are also quite compatible with many other colour sorting counters you can purchase on Amazon and elsewhere. My daughters sorting dinosaurs are frequent lodgers in these houses!Would recommend.

Amazing little toy!
I bought this for my son aged 2. I was hoping for a versatile toy that would support his colour knowledge but I also loved the fact that it can be used to teach children about diversity and different families too etc. He particularly loves the little dogs and carries them everywhere! Whenever we get this set out, he spends hours making a little town and popping the people into the right houses. It also has helped his vocabulary and language in terms of ladies, girls, women etc and all the different words for people. Couldn’t fault it!

simple and oddly addictive
Our kid loves these, and still plays with them. She likes testing herself 'this one?....' 'nooo', 'this one?...' 'noo...' and describing the family members. Putting the baby in other toys, the dog in other toys etc. Didn't think they'd be a hit, but still one of her go-to toys.
