Ultimate Direction Fastdraw 20 Hand-Held Bottle

I know: not everybody likes the UD bottles. I do. One bottle is included. So three stars for the bottle and for having a pocket big enough for my keys, a lip balm, driver's license, and not-an-iPhone phone. But I cannot for the life of me accept the corporate "thought" processes and "quality" control that produced a handheld pocket-strap so poorly designed and executed. The adjustable strap simply does not stay in place: give it a tug till it's nice and snug, and four steps later it's suffering from adjustile dysfunction. So I cut the skinny strip off and laboriously sewed a different type in (using the same buckle); now it is too tight, but usable. The design of the pocket seems too small, by approximately one centimeter each way. Plus, the zipper goes around two sides, and does not zip/unzip smoothly because of the sharpness of that right angle and the bulk of seam and binding at that point. There is a clip on a little tether (also seems about one centimeter too short) with a nice clip to keep my keys from falling down a cliff or into a storm drain the moment I get the worrisome zipper past the bulky right angle at that awful corner. But. Overall, this is a very disappointing offering (September 2014 this writing) from what SHOULD be a reliable and respectable supplier of outdoor gear. The UD Fastdraw 20 hand-held has one argument in its favor: what else IS there in this particular niche???

I really like this product, however if you have an iphone 6 it really didn't fit into the pocket. I first had to remove my phone from the otter box cover I had on it to protect it and I wasn't able to plug any head phone into it. I had to stretch the zipper closed just to get the phone in. The pocket should be made a bit longer and have access holes for accessory plugs.

It's a great water bottle! But like everyone else, the strap adjustment moved constantly. I used a safety pin and now it doesn't move, but it did seem weird that I had to do that. Otherwise, it's a great bottle. Learning how to drink it takes a minute but I love how it is leak proof.

This works exactly as advertised. Easy to hold. DOES NOT LEAK!! Which was the number one thing for me. The only annoyance is the pouch is pre iPhone 6 so if you want to use this to carry your new smart phone this will not fit. I believe a 5 phone will fit.

i like the older version more better b/c the buckle strap was thicker and felt more secure in my hand. i bought this bottle b/c the pouch was bigger (and i love that) but why would they use a smaller buckle? It kept loosening when I was running.

this is a good bottle holder. negative is that the tightening strap doesnt stay tight, more snug so it doesn't fall off your hand, but you do have to grasp it a little. older model (wife's) had a wider strap that was also more textured and created more resistance from loosening.otherwise it's good.

When it comes to hydration systems - I'm a hand holder. I've had a few - most recently a 20 oz Amphipod. This is by far the best I've had. It has a great hand feel and the pocket is big enough to hold quite a bit of stuff.

Great handheld for runs. I love the zipper pocket i can put a key, and anything else i need in there. Perfect for those hot summer runs where you need some hydration without going to a big hydration pack. The strap handle is very comfortable, i hardly even notice it's there.

This is my second time purchasing this bottle, as I lost the last one. Yes I agree the strap on the hand keeps coming loose but I use it as a reminder to check my running form, tighten the strap, how are my hips? how is my foot falling? run run run, tighten strap, how.... etc etc! I really like this bottle, the bag fits my iPhone 6 and keys, the valve doesn't leak at all.

Perfect size, and very comfortable. Vast improvement on earlier version.
