Look great. Expect end caps to be broken, but they are still functional
I bought 3 of the 8' x 6' shades. Installation was pretty easy to do by myself. All 3 of the boxes had loose pieces you could hear sliding around which turn out to be the end caps. 3 or 4 out of the 6 in every box were broken. This is entirely due to careless package design. A simple plastic spacer could hold the poles apart. None the less they don't really affect the products functionality. Two tips. First check to see if the Allen screw fits through the tube hole and if tight use a drill to enlarge any that don't. Second loosen the existing Allen screw so the joiner has a little play to make it easier to screw in the Allen screw then tighten them all.I'm hoping these help keep rain out aside from providing shade but it hasn't rained since they went up.I wish Amazon stocked a 9' width as this doesn't quite cover the end so I'll probably find some similar fabric to Install permanently at the end.

REVIEW - Windscreen4less Exterior Roller Shade Outdoor Porch Patio Roll Up Shade
This here will be my 'initial' review regarding this product -Reason we purchased this was firstly, to be a 'windbreak' [our deck is open on 3x sides & roofed, with a gas fire pit], and to break the breeze/wind coming in from our S/W. Secondly, until we set up the patio furniture [now down for the Winter], on the upper deck [open], to act as a 'sunscreen'.As a 'windbreak', this surprisingly does a fairly decent job of blocking/cutting the breeze, coming down onto us, seated about the fire pit; Helping to retain a fair amount of the heat, off the fire pit [nice when the morning temps now are in the low 40's and drinking that morning cup of 'joe']. No, it's not a wall...As a 'sun blind', it does the job; Cutting down on the Western dropping sun, just as it would slam you in the face, blinding you... Nice! The main reason, I haven't given out a '5 Star' rate, is the 'pulley-system' herein employed, to draw the blind up-down, simply put sucks... It isn't engineered/designed to make for a easy up-down operation, with the drawstring - Pulley systems are designed to easily work. This one does not allow smooth-even-easy roll-up, or down. And you need two people to assure the rolling process is even and complete [our's is only a 72"/6' blind]... My only true complaint with the blind.I will come back to this after 4 - 6 mos, and re-evaluate 'how-well', the blind and hardware have handled being outdoors, for the time period. I am curious as to 'how well' the materials have weathered the Pacific NW season(s).For now, it seems to be working pretty well.

Great sunshade!
Took me a while to get out together and then up but I’m so excited that it’s up! Directions were pretty easy to follow. I got a bit confused when doing the chord and pulley but I’d advise to get it started before you get the screws all the way in the top pieces. I had to unscrew them a bit to get the chord around to tie knots at the end. Otherwise it works perfectly and I’m excited that I get to be on my porch more often this summer!

Hard to assemble
Looks nice once completed but assembly is horrible. You definitely need an extra helper while assembling. And be prepared to screw a ton of sections into your porch space. It does a good job of blocking enough sun and yet allows you to see through slightly.

Poor quality product the company will not stand behind.
Buyer beware! I initially bought one 7' x 6' shade as a test to see what the quality was like an was pleased. I ordered a second 7' x 9' shade and was shipped a defective one. the center clip was melted and unusable, the side edges where cut wrong (not even close to even and the edges are frayed bad), and the center sleeve was sewed in the wrong place (it was placed in the center on the first shade to dampen the 'sail' effect (it just billows in the wind, even a slight breeze). After many days exchanging emails, sending pictures, the company only offered to replace the center clip. It would not address the incorrect placement of the sleeve, and said that they hand cut the material so i should not expect a straight edge. How hard can it be to use a straight edge when hand cutting the material. I will be returning the shade for a full refund and seeking a company the produces quality products and stands behind them. I encourage all to do the same. Your time is valuable, don't waste it on this company or it's shady products.

I mounted it without screwing it into my pergola
I needed some cover for my east facing side of my pergola so I figured this might be a great fit. We have storms in the south, so I thought the price was right for the risk. Picked it up and it was as expected. I didn't use screws to mount it. Instead I used tie straps. It's a very simple product. I usually roll it up when I get's windy. No issues so far and provides air flow and easy up and down. It's a quick and cheap way to keep the family cool.

Great for keeping the sun out.
This is a great product to block out that unwanted sun. It was easy to install and works well. You might want to add another cleat to roll the excess cord up on when you pull it up. I had a spare hook laying around and placed it about a foot lower than the cleat so I could wind the excess cord around them both and avoid the multiple tiny loops around the cleat provided. Beware is does just about completely block all breezes as well. If you have a fan on the porch it is perfect.
