Sin no longer has hold on you--response to negative misconceptions
responding to:This is a great book for those who would like to believe they can get away with murder or anything else once they have accepted the grace that JESUS has to give.---------Actually, that is not what Pastor Prince is saying or promoting.--I DIGRESS HERE-- A side note:being born into a Christian family, does not make you a Christian. It is a very personal understanding of what Jesus did for you on that cross. What it means and the consequences of that sacrifice for you. Then your acceptance. It is not how many good deeds you have done, not your works---- but Jesus sacrifice. In between Christmas and Easter he taught us how to heal the sick and raise the dead, and what the Moasic Law really means and how impossible it is to keep--..when one violaton by thought word or deed condemns you.And that is why we need a Savior..to fulfill the Law's requirements and free us.BACK TO THE POINT:When you are under grace, sin no longer has a hold on you.You no longer want to live that life. You may have a passing impulse or thought, but you don't follow through--it happens because you are human. You dismiss it, because you are under grace.Pastor Prince has made a point in his sermons (I call them classes--he is such an excellent teacher) that the message of grace does not apply to you if you are willfully living in sin with no compunction and have no desire to change your life.I have, since childhood, been riveted on John 14:12.I have searched and found those who are fulfilling that promise/command of Jesus.I have been studying it.I had noticed the scriptures that Pastor Prince talks about, but he brings the "full impact" of those words to life.... the series of events that began right when, and for 40 days after, Jesus said on the cross,"It is finished."Pastor Prince is from Singapore, speaks English and knows the orignal Hebrew Greek Aramaic. The nuances of the orignal word and proper translation of it...reveals the scriptures as never before.Thank you, Pastor Prince --and I think you are brilliant! :)

my wife got it when a friend recommended it. Just in one reading
I can't believe how many positive reviews this heretical book is receiving. Yes, I have it, my wife got it when a friend recommended it. Just in one reading, in which I knew NOTHING about Joseph Prince (but know tons now), I heard him preaching the heretical prosperity Gospel, the Word of faith garbage, and NEVER once hear him talk about being SLAVE, to know we are to SUFFER. We are slaves to Christ, and if we are truly in Him, we will be treated like him, suffer like him, and be persecuted like him. Why would you want prosperity the world offers but brings only turmoil and selfishness? To prove I have it, read it, and that it is heretical:In Day Jan 17, Joseph Prince talks about the couple who did a lucky draw and won a condo. That's not what God wants Christians to do, Christians should not do lotteries at all. Do you ever hear of slaves doing this? Plus we should not pursue the material things in the world. Sure, We think, "If I can have that THEN I can suffer for Christ to advance the Gospel to deny self, help the widows and the childless, etc." but that is never the case as we then get farther from denying self and suffering for the sake of the Gospel to claim materialism and health we don't need.A second very alarming page of JP's book, among many others, is Oct 6th.JP wrote, as if to talk as God, thus adding to scripture which we are told never to do, "Do you need peace of mind? My Son wore the crown of thorns in His head to give it to you. Take it!" That is no where is scripture and farthest from the truth. The crown was because of the mocking that he claimed to be a king and was dying in our place so that we don't seek things of this world but His kingdom which is not of this world. This "Take it" is also the "Claim it, take it" Word of Faith cult teaching that is heresy and not taught in any local bible teaching church. In the same day, Oct 6, he also claims Jesus died on the cross so we can have health. HE DID NOT! -->Jesus died not for our health nor to prosper in this world but died to defeat Death so we will not have to face Death in the judgement to come and so we have eternal life!!!Again, on the same day, for the opening verse, JP totally misuses this verse to give the heretical prosperity gospel. The verse he quoted is not getting the material, but being given the Holy Spirit so we can become like Christ, to "have the mind of Christ"(v16 of that passage). Ironically, the verse he uses even says "we have received, not the spirit of the world" but then the very thing JP is trying to get people is the spirit of the world, Heath, Wealth and peace of mind in a prosperity sense!God doesn't promise that we will have a healthy and prosperous life in this life, as we can prove with any account in the OT and NT. Quick examples: Job suffered from the death of his kids and his incurable skin disease, but he is blessed in the end because of his faith and repentance, but prosperity wasn't what God admired him for nor what Job really needed. The Apostle Paul suffered from thorn in his flesh even he begged God many times to remove it but was told God is strong in his weakness (2 Corinthians 12), and he was shipwrecked at least 3 times (1 Tim 1:19), bitten by a snake (Acts 28:3), stoned either to death(and brought back after the vision of the 3rd heaven, 2 Corinthians 12) or close to death, and ultimately beheaded in Rome, losing his life in a wonderful way, just as 11 of the 12 apostles of Christ lost their lives ( only John lived to old age but suffered greatly as a prisoner in exile, Revelation 1). Did they receive an easy life? There is no such thing if we are to forsake our life so that in the end gain it. "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." -Matt 10:39Were those who died in the Middle East, beheaded for following Christ, both in the past and even currently seeking or promised a prosperous life? Was that necessary? Is that rally God's plan for any believer? A good free online book I recommend is "God has a wonderful plan for your life" with the cover picturing the stoning of Stephen, the first martyr. Yes, it addresses the false prosperity gospel going around these days. Google it.Be content where you are and put your eyes on Jesus and the glorious suffering we have as we drink from the cup He drank from. I want the best for you as you risk your life to spread the Gospel daily...this book will not help. Make sure to never forsake fellowship with other saints as Paul commanded us and to run the good race, not by your own strength or the world's spirit, but by God's. Be a slave to everyone (1 Corinthians 9:19)
