This is literally the beat stuff for keeping your lips safe and in good health. It goes on smooth, not waxy, and has zero gloss or shine. Even though Kiel's classifies them as a male lip balm because they don't have a shine they can easily be used by any sex. I will walk a mile to get this stuff!!!

I like this product much better than the "over-the-counter" typical lip balms.Yes it costs a bit more, but it also seems to last longer, so that helps make upfor the difference. And it doesn't "gloss-up" your lips, like so many of the otherswill.

It’s a great lip balm. Unsure why matte finish costs more. It’s marketed “for men,” so deduce what you will.

Kiehls makes an excellent moisturizer for dry lips. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone who fights dray lips

I always use some kind of lip balm. My favorite brand, fresh sugar lip balm changed their formula, so I was trying something else. This was less than an inexpensive Chapstick as far as moisturizing. I felt like it dried my lips out and it was a waste of $14. That’s my experience, everyone likes a different feeling on their lips, but this was like nothing and honestly after a few days my lips felt more chapped.

I have perpetually dry lips and need to use some kind of lip balm constantly or my lips will crack. So, I've tried a number of lip balms. This is the best one I have ever used. It has a very mild scent and a very mild cooling effect, does not feel thick and gummy on your lips, you don't need to use a lot when you apply it. It lasts a good long time after application, and one stick lasts quite a while. It's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.I'll list some competing products and why they are worse.Chapstick: Comparatively thick and gummy consistency, considerably worse moisturizing effect. The blue "medicated" version is tolerable but still not great.Blistex: Very thick and has almost no moisturizing effect. I tried this one out in dry Las Vegas and just threw it out when I got a stick of Kiehl's.Burt's Bees: Does not last very long after application, unpleasant cooling effect.Neutrogena Norwegian Formula: Unscented which is nice, works pretty well, but does not last as long after application.Aveeno: Actually not bad, but rubs off easily.Plain old Vaseline: Greasy, rubs off almost immediately.
